I was so confused as to what this was even with the texas and hookem hints above. It looked like those rabbits from the simpsons arcade games in bowling alleys from my younger years. That has to be one of the worst depictions of a cow (longhorn) I have ever seen. Kinda makes me want to buy the card though because it is hilarious.

I think he needs to just look for contact when he goes up in traffic around the rim. He tries to avoid contact and make the shot....eff that noise, just go up THROUGH the defender. If he tries to extend away, the defender has enough strength to block the shot, and that's his biggest problem...he always gets in a position where he has to extend his arms too much to get a shot off, and you sacrific all your strength when you do that.

Tonight I was impressed with Tristan's aggressiveness as a player. He may have had his shot blocked a lot tonight, but, just by eliminating some of his hesitance, he was able to immediately become a better player just like Gee was able to do so over the past year. This got him to the line a lot tonight. His rebounding also looked better because he wasn't competing with the best rebounder in the league for rebounds. His passing game is actually coming around as well, I've noticed. He has made some decent passes in recent games, and he even made a good pass into traffic to Kyrie, somewhat like an alley-oop layup type pass.

If you can go 7-9 from the line consistently, you can be more confident and agressive in initiating contact near the rim.

If he can get calls in Boston, he can get calls anywhere. I think he got frustrated in the past because when he'd tried to force contact in a crowd the refs wouldn't bail him out. His shooting was brutal, but it was the second night of a back to back for both teams.

TT was definitely a 3-5 year development. I don't know why people are expecting a fully developed NBA player out of the guy. He ain't as good as Andy, but Andy wasn't much when he was TT's age either.

Looked good tonight. All around.

Tristan Thompson being the best player on the floor is not something that should be celebrated... It's a sad state of affairs in all honesty...

W/ Varejao out, he's the only guy on the team capable of rebounding the ball. It's incredible how bad the rest of the bigs on this team are at rebounding.

My theory is being proven thus far. For those who say that he's an average rebounder, here's your proof that he was losing rebounds to the best rebounder in the league. Tristan has stepped up and is pulling down 12-rebound nights with regularity. Also, Tristan has taken his offensive game to another level since Andy has been out thus far. He may not be scoring super efficiently (although this game he did), he's getting more fouls than I can remember, and he is actually navigating both with and without the ball in order to get open for a shot. I have been happy with his play these past few games. He's starting to like like he could be that double double guy who plays great defense. Lots of work left to do until he gets to that point though.

On top of that, he is starting to get a few more calls under the basket. He still cant shoot free throws, but softening up the interior by drawing fouls on the opposing bigs is helpful for the slashing guards. It's nice to see some positive things coming from his game.

Like I've said before, his defensive rebounding is the most improved part of his game.

He made some moves to the basket tonight that made him look like a legit NBA big man. They were not awkward and rigid, but smooth and strong. 1 game isn't enough to say he's "getting it" or anything, so we'll see if this was a fluke or not.
