I don’t know. He was a constant malcontent on the team that plucked him from obscurity and made him extraordinarily wealthy, all while living in Miami. He gave Spoelstra no respect when Riley and ownership has Spoelstra’s back. I simply can’t imagine him not being a total train wreck here. He’s certainly the most talented player in that trade, but we wouldn’t contend anyway, and I would sure enjoy a season of high-character no drama basketball.
I truly can’t see him being a positive influence on any of the young guys, and quite possibly, a locker room cancer. Right now, we have the makings of a nice locker room that fosters development by young guys. I realize it takes talent to win in the NBA, but he won’t attract any, and isn’t enough on his own, and could generally detract from even enjoying a young developing team.
