It's the pure hate I am seeing. A lot of people did not like Obama, but did you see riots? Did you see people in the national media painting a doom and gloom narrative?

Did you see him putting explicit racists in the Cabinet?

Administering religious tests for citizenship?

There is a greater reaction because these plans are far more extreme than anything Obama ever proposed, not because of media bias.

I was thinking about this. Initially I didn't like that he used specific numbers, but I think it's actually a good thing. He can be held accountable if it's not actually done that way. How many times have we heard " we're going to do X at the same time as cutting Y." Well, X gets done while everyone waits for Y to happen...
