Tyronn Lue has been fired

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It's hard to put it all in lues feet because he has to play a certain amount of people.
Keeping RJ on Leonard when he was murdering him every time down the floor was just nonsensical and it's what lost us the game. That 9-0 in the 4th was crippling. Just about every other coach would have called time out and put a stop to that shit before it got out of hand but Lue kept it like the results were going to eventually change.

You can't stick a 36-year old role player on an MVP candidate and expect to win. The move to LeBron was too late. Should have been a comfortable regulation win and not an OT heartbreaker.

The lack of putting Korver and Frye in for the last shot was... baffling to say the least.

Regardless...that was a beautiful play that resulted in a wide open corner three (basically the worst possible look that the Spurs would want to give up in that situation). Gotta knock that down...

True.

I am still frustrated at some of Ty's decisions. Especially having neither Korver nor Frye for that last shot, considering they are two of our best shooters. I mean whats the point of getting someone like Korver if you don't use him in those situations. Also, wtf was TT doing there when we needed a 3? Just to set the screen? It was just bizzare.

But at the same time, I actually love the fact that he went for Love in that play even when he was having a horrible shooting night. As frustrating and irritating as that was to see not Love make that, in a way, Love's confidence would have boosted that inspite of still playing poorly Ty drew up a play for him to take that final shot and not Kyrie or LeBron etc.

The same play could have been ran with better shooters. So no offense but, it's really not "regardless". What you said doesn't address my point at all.

That actually kind of scares me. Especially because we've seen that often his 3 point shooting is mental. Seeing that WIDE open shot miss that badly could send him into a shame spiral. I hope not.

As for Lou, that in my mind was one of his worst coached games. His rotations, play sets, timeouts, lack of timeouts, and basically any decision made after halftime was horrible. It was Kyrie going crazy and LeBron making a deep shot that took us to overtime. I did not see coaching in that game.

Seriously. I have no idea wtf has happened to him. Its like the Ghost of Blatt has taken over him and is making him to do the stuffs even Tank Commander™ would be proud of.

RJ is 36. Having him play in crunch time makes no sense at all. That too ahead of someone like a Shump who relatively has been playing well and hitting shots. RJ is a old now. By having him play this much, you are not only making it difficult for us to win games but also putting more mileage on the old dude.

Secondly, the LeBron mins thingy are getting out of hand. LeBron is currently leading the league in mins per game. That, is flat out ridiculous and unacceptable. If you can't sit him for long stretches, do in small patches. We need to preserve LeBron for the playoffs. Not fucking run him out of gas by playing heavy mins in regular season which is pointless.

Last but not the least, our defense. A lot of it is down to effort but our defensive scheme doesn't look good or promising at all. We can't seem to get stops at all. Ty, Longabardi and the coaching staff have to figure this shit out as soon as possible.

I am still not at a panic stage but I'm starting to get worried. Especially at LeBron playing so many mins and our defense looking porous as fuck. Need to sort it out soon.

I don't understand what it is about Cleveland coaches and goofy ass rotations. We are trying to get Korver going, but playing him with Liggins, RJ and Tristan. How are you getting him good looks when you surround him with three guys that essentially don't need to be guarded?

Lue pushing a lot of the wrong buttons right now. Playing LeBron way, way too much. Forcing Jefferson into the rotation repeatedly when is struggling. Letting the defense go to shambles when you could be burying the Raps and Celtics in the standings.

In the grand scheme, I'm not worried, but the main goal is getting the top seed in the East while putting the least amount of wear and tear on our stars. LeBron leading the league in minutes played is not part of that equation.

T Lue has made questionable decisions but he's not god; he can't force the players to try. This team mailed it in for the break a week ago.

This is the thing that bothers me more than anything else.

Ty acts like we're all idiots for asking why a 32 year old 14 year vet with damn near 50,000 minutes on his legs is playing 40 minutes against the fucking Pelicans. Dude, we get it. You won a title. So have a lot of coaches and none of them would be playing LeBron 40 minutes a night at this point in his career.

I always love the mouth breathing shot of Ty about mid way through the 3rd...when LeBron is already at the 26-28 minute mark and it appears Lue has spent the better part of the period staring at the kid eating nachos on the opposite side of the court. I just grab the whisky and try to power through the mid quarter malaise.

Why would Lue be concerned about LeBron's minutes.. is he not in charge of them?
Lue said LeBron played too many minutes and "that's on me."

And not, I suppose, Longabardi.

You're gonna disrespect the opponent and the game? You can stay in until you decide to take it seriously.

In the meantime enjoy that ass whoopin.

I wonder if that's Lue's mindset here.
