Tyronn Lue has been fired

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Love will be back in like 2 weeks, I don't see anything changing in the starting line-up until then.
In the last couple weeks we've had RJ, James Jones, and Frye start at the 4. It changes almost daily.

You don't think JR will be starting until Love comes back?

I meant at Power Forward. I think JR should start right away.

Can't wait until we're healthy. Cleveland is 14-4 this season when Kyrie, JR, LeBron, Kevin and TT all start.

If people are going to be critical of Lue for the defense, then they should also give him props for the offense. Cavs run some actions that are just damn beautiful to watch...back screens set by Deron for lobs; Kyrie running Princeton cuts and getting touch passes for layups from LBJ at the elbow; using LeBron as the pick setter and as an off ball cutter; UCLA cuts for shooters like Korver; etc. And that's not even counting the beautiful and unexpected out of bounds plays like yesterday's lob from Tristan to LeBron. Cavs offense is absolutely lethal right now and will be even better when everyone is healthy and in rhythm.

Yeah... but the defense still blows.

I thought Larry drew was the offensive coach.

I have no idea what the fuck Lue was doing tonight leaving Tristan in for the entire 3rd quarter. THEN, he has the audacity to bring him back in for the last 6 minutes of the game.

Tristan was -27 in 31 minutes.

Frye was +18 in 14 minutes.

You can't make this stuff up.

My only problem here was that I think we probably should have rested guys. The fatigue was apparent by the middle of the third quarter.

You not worried about the defense at all, mate?

Because I am very worried.

People keep saying how we turned it on last playoffs but many forget we turned it on in the regular season when it mattered as well. We ramped it up late in 4th quarter in close games and post-All Star Break leading to the playoffs.

This season, we can't seem to get a stop at all. Which is seriously worrying imo.

Right we are dropping these games anyways, might as well rest LBJ and Kyrie and keep them fresh / healthy.

I want to give Lue the benefit of the doubt of not wanting to show Houston other defensive schemes, in case they meet in the finals, and sticking to the same P&R switches that left the Cavs completely vulnerable over and over and over. But I'm having a hard time believing that.

Last year, they worked on other defensive strategies during practice and didn't bring them out until the playoffs. This year...well, they're not practicing much.

I think he was trying to rest Frye for the 4th quarter but the rebounding deficit kinda destroyed that plan and he had to put Tristan back in which allowed Houston to just tilt the floor against LeBron and stifle the offense by not guarding 2 of our guys (Tristan/D-Thrill/Shump/JR)

Even if we has persisting with TT, why keep the same defensive scheme where Harden was constantly bullying TT after the switch? Just braindead tactics from Ty.

Also, the LeBron heavy mins are starting to show its effect. Unacceptable stuff to have LeBron still play these heavy mins so close to the playoffs. Totally unacceptable.
