Urban Meyer to replace Jim Tressel?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Got to think Jon Gruden tops the list of potential replacements should Tressel leave his position (most likely due to health reasons or something).

:)

JG has some ties to the current program and was in town for a while talking offense with the current staff. It was not his first visit.

I dunno.

JG has never had to recruit. IMO that's 80% of the college game.

So if we get Gruden, does that mean 90% of the roster will be made up of QBs? :chuckles:

Well...yes he has, when he was assistant at Pacific and Pitt.

Of course, Pete Carroll had never recruited either minus some assistants positions in college.

Depends on the type of personality, and judging by Gruden's personality he comes across as very likeable and determined to win. Certainly not out of touch to young people by any stretch.

Makes him a great fit really.

I think Gruden coaches in the NFL before he does college.

I do find it funny that he and Bob Stoops are rumored for every major CFB head coaching vacancy.

The OP's story is beginning to take form.. I'm still weary about Meyer's heart condition, but he is still my first choice.

Yea and neither end up happening. Gruden is a non-choice. Simply won't happen.
