Based upon his recent Twitter postings, it sure seems like CV would like to sign here, and with not many teams having much cap space, if we offered the full MLE, I think he'd be ours.
Teams with cap space:
Memphis
Detroit
OKC
Portland
Toronto
Atlanta
Minnesota
Sacramento
Of those teams, I think it's fair to cross Minnesota (Love), Portland (Aldridge), Toronto (Bosh), Sacramento (Jason Thompson), and Atlanta (Smith) off the list because they already have promising players or established stars at the PF position.
So, that leaves you with Memphis, Detroit, and OKC. Memphis has Darrel Arthur at the PF position, and Darko I guess... so they'd have to give up on their first round pick from last year in order to take CV, at least that's the way I see it.
Detroit probably has bigger fish to fry. Boozer, Millsap, David Lee, Glen Davis may all be at least as high on their priority list. I would be surprised if they offered CV more than the MLE.
So that leaves you with OKC as perhaps the only team that would be real players for CV. The way I look at it, unless OKC offers significantly more than the MLE, and we offer MLE, CV will be ours, based upon how interested he seems to be in playing for the Cavs, at least based on his Twitter.
