Mullens moved the ball but a whole half of punts?

Might be to the Browns' advantage to tank it out, laugh at the Steelers and Ravens taking playoff Ls and try again next year. This team is going nowhere with this situation we have now. Only one guy can get down field in the passing game.

Hell, they didn't even need a play action pass there. A quick slant or one of Nick Mullens' patented check downs would have given them enough yardage to move the chains there.

That was the play of the season, and the Browns failed the test.

Man, I was so mad when I saw the play end up being a hand off. Anything but that given how the Raiders were defending would have won the game.

Stefanski's honeymoon is over, that's for sure.

Right. He's like a worse version of AB right now. Dude, you're on your umpteenth last chance and you're playing on the fuckin CHIEFS. And have the nerve to be tweeting about a team that gave you 5011 chances to do the right thing. Hell, even the CHEATRIOTS let him go.
 
If you’re going to run there- and doing so was a pussy move- at least run something unpredictable.

Let’s see some kind of blocking scheme that isn’t completely obvious from go. Stef is good with those.

But really there should have been a pass.

Guy fucked the game and the entire season on that play with a classic mid-90s punt on the opponents 45 type play.

Fire him!

I wanted to see Vickers there.
 
The Browns had 20 first downs tonight.

They ran the ball on 11 of them, gaining 3.3 yards per carry. Certainly not good, but not so bad that you can't overcome it.

But where the Browns really compounded the problem offensively was by running the ball on 2nd and 8+ seven times for a total of 20 yards, 2.9 YPC.

Just a remarkably conservative game plan.

And look Mullens isn't good, but he's also not some rookie fuckwad either. He's got 3 years in the league. He's played over a season's worth of games. He's been in the building for four months, not four days.

They coached him like he was a complete scrub when they didn't need to.
