Welcome 8th Pick from Brooklyn

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Meaningless poll, but lets play....where will the pick end up after the lottery?

The risk of the Grizz and Clips blowing it up is a scary one. That suddenly throws two teams into the race for the bottom no one expected.

Not a guy that roots for injuries. However, it seems like the most irreplaceable guy on the Nets is Carroll.

Say what you will about Carroll but he's been on playoff teams 4 straight years. He's going to compete night in and night out in the regular season.

Yup. Add in Sac, Atl, Chi, Dal, Phx and even Orl and you have legit 8 teams that are hot garbage. The Nets personnel are worse on paper but if those teams actively fire up the tank....

Biggest problem is they are well coached and motivated. Imagine if they had stayed healthy, yikes.

We lucked out.

Just need these other teams to not be so terrible...

Seriously - no Lin, Russell, Crabbe, or RHJ for a majority of the game, and these f*ckers are still going to pull off a win, on the road....

Memphis without conley is a d-league offensive team. 6 losses in a row.

That's all well and true, and still they have more talent than what the Nets are trotting out right now.

Nets are just extremely well coached and hard working.

I feel like every time the Nets play a shit team they are a good bet to win. They just play harder.

They've got a stretch of 3 games coming up with Atlanta twice and Dallas I think. That could be huge.

I said about a week ago in this thread that that three game stretch is probably going to determine where they end up. I stand by it.

Also, Memphis now has a worse record than Brooklyn.

I'm just still in disbelief at how fucking good Demarre Carroll has been after looking like a top 5 "corpse" in the NBA the last 2 years.

His numbers are only slightly better than last year. He'd just been injured.

Plus, he had thrived in the Atlanta system, which is much closer to the style the Nets play than the Raps. And finally, he's a vet, and on top of that, a vet that's won and knows how to win. People always forget that part of the equation.

Yeah, this is the wild card. Sacramento, Atlanta and Chicago are definitely worse. Phoenix and Orlando might be (probably will be). But if Memphis and LA go in the tank?

Well... fuck.

Well lets hope Koby is a great drafter. People keep talking about "its an all time draft!"

Yet history shows there have been bad players drafted in the top 10 of great drafts.

I also think LeBron is going to pay close attention to what that Nets pick is.

Lets be honest I'm not sure he comes back to Cleveland if the Cavs didn't have the #1(or top 3) pick. At least not that soon. It was the great asset to go along with Kyrie that did it.

Maybe we can get lucky in the lotto again.

Not sure if we drafted Noah Vonleh that LeBron would have come back.

Still a lot of time though. Just gotta get one of those top 5 picks..
