Welcome 8th Pick from Brooklyn

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Meaningless poll, but lets play....where will the pick end up after the lottery?

That's not going to happen.

Yes, that's why I chose the word "may"

And there's still five more game to go in that stretch.

But more than that it's an 82 game season. There's nothing to yet indicate that the Nets are somehow going to not be one of the worst 4-7 teams. Not too mention that the lottery night still could wreak havoc(in a positive or negative way for us) regardless of the Nets lottery slot heading into lottery night.

The long and short of it is we are all going to go crazy if we're getting caught up in the per game Nets results one by one. I've been as guilty of it as anyone but I'm about ready to check out on them until about at least game 50

Well lets hope Koby is a great drafter. People keep talking about "its an all time draft!"

Yet history shows there have been bad players drafted in the top 10 of great drafts.

I also think LeBron is going to pay close attention to what that Nets pick is.

Lets be honest I'm not sure he comes back to Cleveland if the Cavs didn't have the #1(or top 3) pick. At least not that soon. It was the great asset to go along with Kyrie that did it.

Maybe we can get lucky in the lotto again.

Not sure if we drafted Noah Vonleh that LeBron would have come back.

Still a lot of time though. Just gotta get one of those top 5 picks..

We drafted Anthony Bennett, Karasev, Zeller etc and he came back.

I don't agree one bit with the idea LeBron coming back hinged on us getting the #1 pick. Given the chest of assets we had, we would have likely still found a way to make the Love trade regardless.

So yeah, count me in the group that thinks it's absurd that LeBron will base ANY of his decision this summer in whether the Nets pick is 1, 2, or 7

Point differential isn't the end all be all, but it gives a good forecast.

So, the Nets are a -2.9

Compare that to the Suns, who also have 7 wins, that are -8.9.

The kings, a team a lot of people think have enough talent to start winning games, are -10.8.

The Mavericks are -5.2

The Hawks are -6.0

Doesn't mean the Nets finish behind all of these teams, but they've been substantially more competitive than all of them up to this point.

In my opinion, they're better than those 4 teams on top of Chicago (that goes w/o saying).

Now you look at the rest of the group: Orlando, both LA teams, Memphis, Utah.

I still think them ending around 7 or 8 is the most likely scenario.

Hey for all we know, Nets end up 8th and we still win the lottery. Happened with the Clips pick :dunno:

Hopefully the silver lining in tonight’s win is it shows this stubborn board that the pick MUST be traded

Have always felt if you're not picking 1st (clear best prospect), then drafting 2nd to 10th is a matter of doing your homework to unearth a good player.

Such as drafting Waiters, Tristian ... Opps ....

It looks like Memphis are going to trade Marc Gasol.

If that happens and they start to rebuild, that is another team with incentive to tank.

He will be a problem if the Celtics land him. They still have that Lakers pick and Brown or Tatum.

I can't see any scenario in which Ainge burns any of those 3 assets for Marc Gasol. Especially the way Brown and Tatum have started this season.
