Duke has been much, much better defensively without Bagley playing. Bolden, O’Connell, and Delaurier all play more and all are better defensive players in their roles.

If his shooting doesn’t develop nor his handle in order to create for himself or others , he has a low ceiling for top ranked player because he has a tweener game with no defensive instincts and not all that impressive measurables (standing reach). Carter looks to be a better player than he.

Don't forget that they started playing zone with him out. That's the biggest difference.

Even with Bagley when they played zone against MSU at the start of the season they were effective defensively.

18 points, 9 boards, 6 assists, and 3 blocks for Carter in a blowout win against a very solid Louisville team. Almost a full year younger than Porter, Bamba, and Ayton. At his best, he dominates every aspect of the game. He's gotta be in the conversation for a top-5 pick.

MPJ may be back for the upcoming tournaments... He wants to play badly...would love to see him get some run but part of me thinks it's not a smart move... He and JJJ are my 2 favorites .. loved MPJ in HS

Bamba scares me. He supposedly hurt his toe or something, but he is so on/off it makes me frustrated.
He is a very raw basketball player right now from what he has shown under Shaka smart. I think he gets a little bit frustrated with the lack of touches so his motor runs very hot and cold depending on the touches and role he gets on the offfense.

He has yet to show me any advanced post move or the ability to use his off hand. Lacks refinement and touch with his right hooks as well. Think his wingspan kinda messes with his form on the hook.

He has shown the ability to dunk a lob effortlessly with both hands on a very high level. You can just throw the ball as high as you can and he will get it... reminds me of Drummond in that sense.

My issue with Bamba is that he doesn't do he little things that Jaren Jackson does on both ends. He plays a very straight forward game and I wonder if it's the scheme or the lack thereof for that matter.

I really wish I the Texas offense was better... they have no idea what the heck they are doing... so very hard to judge him right now. I think the best way would be to evaluate him in individual workouts.

My heart keeps pulling me back to Bamba, but my brain is telling me to put Jackson on top.
Jacksons ability to play the 4 and 5 also gives him a few more point in my book.

It is funny when the league gets crazy about tanking while the best player in the NBA--who was taken first overall by a team that tried awful hard to suck--could be going to his 8th straight final. The NBA is a superstar driven league and always has been and those guys rarely go outside the top 5, so getting picks near the top of the draft is your best bet to build a lasting title contender.

Pop saying he would be surprised if Kawhi returns

Woj reports he has been cleared but doesn't wanna return

Kawhi is texting Pop tonight
"In case you were wondering I bet you can get that BKN pick for me in June"
Now we know why Lebron is gushing so much about Cedi.... He has Pop foaming at the mouth lol.

So whats the trade look like on that? Nets pick + Love + Cedi? He only has one year left on his contract after the year but he is probably the 3rd best player when healthy.

Eh I'm conflicted about that. On one hand it's a lot to give up, especially because I love the idea of landing a stud we can groom under LeBron and Love on the cheap.

But...it's fuckin' Kawhi.

It was tough for me until the thought of Kyrie/Gordon/Kawhi crossed my mind.

its so good having a fun new team that wins games while also looking forward to adding a top prospect in a strong draft. Hoping for Jaren Jackson at this stage!

Read the Spurs forums and a lot think Kawhi Wants out. He’s medically cleared to play but claims he still has pain. Doctors can’t find out what the problem is.

If true, and he pulls a Kyrie, you think Spurs would trade him? If that actually ends up happening...let’s hope The Spurs love Cedi as much as they did this past summer...along with the Nets Pick and Kev :chuckle:

I doubt any of this happens but I agree we should do whatever it takes to get him, just to keep him away from Boston...

The Jaren Jackson boogie bus is cruising at a cool 50 mph right now and I am getting ready to celebrate our post championship draft night with MSU themed cigars and booze.

I swear to god you fucks are going to have me an absolute emotional mess when this shit doesn't go our way. Jaren Jackson is a goddamn haul and a half, I'm not ready for the letdown.
