Meaningless poll, but lets play....where will the pick end up after the lottery?

Considering that this season there are more bad teams (Bulls, Pacers, Hawks for example) every win may be costly, so if they get 5 wins from the first 10 games the chances of us getting a good pick go down a lot, IMO

By the same token, this may be a season where there are so many bad teams that they don't separate much from each other. Meaning, yes, there may be 1-2 teams that win less than 21 games, but the Nets could win 24-26 games and still be in the 3 slot.

Also, that Pacers team is not on the same roster level of bad as most of the teams we're talking about, unless they start dealing some guys. They're up 10 on MIN heading into the 4th(and without Myles Turner) and Oladipo and Sabonis have both played very well to start the season.

It is crazy though that we're all going to be paying attention to all the Nets games and the general bottom of the standings. We really won't know how that race is shaping up until well into the season.

Nets schedule starts out so easy.

Their first 10 games: Orlando(2), Phoenix(2), Indiana, Lakers, Knicks, Denver, Cavs, Hawks.

If you're keeping track, that's ONE team(us) that had a winning record last season and didn't also gut their team in the offseason(IND, ATL)

Point being, even if the Nets start out 5-5 or 6-4, don't get too worked up.

And they're giving up 122.5 PPG against that easy schedule.

Doesn't bode well for them when their schedule gets absurdly tough in November.

I hope we win tomorrow, lmao. I genuinely worry when we play these shitty ass teams. We come out lackadaisical and half arsed and by the time we wake up, its late.

And they've yet to give up less than 100 points in a game, and are giving up 122.5 PPG against that easy schedule.

You think teams are going to shoot over 130 PPG against them? They can hang on with anybody as long as they are able to score and it looks like they can.

Luckily the Magic won today. Nets were leading for almost the entire game. You are still selling them short, but I hope you are right.. i'll take every damn loss with pleasure.

They've played Indiana, Orlando twice, and Atlanta...all they have done is proven they can hang with those teams...not all that surprising, considering those are 3 teams people consider to not be very good.

Unfortunately, they don't get to play only those teams this year...

They're going to suck, and their schedule gets crazy difficult after a soft first 10 games.

They are not unlike the Cavs in that way :chuckle:

I could see tomorrow night being something like a 140-136 final score.

As long as we get the win....we should try like its a playoff game because we have that pick...lol.

Brooklyn's schedule from November 7th to November 27th:

@ Denver (2nd night of a b2b)
@ Portland
@ Utah (2nd night of a b2b)
vs Boston
vs Utah
vs Golden State
@ Cleveland
vs Portland
@ Memphis
@ Houston (2nd night of a b2b)

Yeah...good luck with that. Guess that's what they get for the soft 10 game opening stretch.

BKN plays with playoff intensity. It’s crazy to watch. Their coach goes 10+ deep and the young guys just play all out.

Gotta give them credit. Still think they will pile up losses, not enough top end talent.

It’s funny bro, I’m literally watching like every Nets game and in some ways, it’s more stressful than the Cavs games. Thank God for Aaron Gordon tonight

:chuckle:

Cousins had an interesting night.

39/13/3/3 but with 8 TOs as the Pelicans lost without Davis on 12/23 shooting. 3/10 from 3PT and 12/17 FT.

If the Cavs added Cousins and his sole contribution was getting himself and Draymond ejected each game it would mean a Cavs title.

We all know he will not come here because we do not think then some big thing happens next you the Warriors have God and traded for Bledsoe and we traded for BOOGIE who is a big man in.... none of this makes sense. We have guys demoting themselfs, Why add a Diva to the.... I get it. Pre Madonna. She was like a virgin... Boogie The Virgin. I kind of see why Boogie will not be a Cav.

I still try for the Zingas though.

Yeah. Reading some people freaking out has been entertaining.

Thus far, BK has proven they can hang with bottom half teams.

Even so.... at 2-2, thy needed a 37 point 4th quarter, vs a Magic team minus Aaron Gordon, to eek out a win at home.

As you mentioned, their mid November schedule is brutal. After that stretch, we should have a good sense for how many games they should win this season.
