Considering that this season there are more bad teams (Bulls, Pacers, Hawks for example) every win may be costly, so if they get 5 wins from the first 10 games the chances of us getting a good pick go down a lot, IMO
By the same token, this may be a season where there are so many bad teams that they don't separate much from each other. Meaning, yes, there may be 1-2 teams that win less than 21 games, but the Nets could win 24-26 games and still be in the 3 slot.
Also, that Pacers team is not on the same roster level of bad as most of the teams we're talking about, unless they start dealing some guys. They're up 10 on MIN heading into the 4th(and without Myles Turner) and Oladipo and Sabonis have both played very well to start the season.
It is crazy though that we're all going to be paying attention to all the Nets games and the general bottom of the standings. We really won't know how that race is shaping up until well into the season.
