CHA is still a natural trade partner given they took Bridges. Could see them actually wanting Sexton as a potential replacement who can play alongside Monk and some of their young guys.

I still don't think Walker would be enough to entice Lebron to stay, we would need Walker AND something else. And the only chip we would have left is Love, I guess that and eating salary.

I'm optimistic about Sexton because as long as he is on the team I will hope he works out even if I didn't want him, but I think he ends up getting traded and we get Kemba anyway. I think its going to happen if LeBron comes back.

I think we either get kemba or leonard. Do not think we have enough assets to get both. If we did manage it though we would have a three man team. bench would be filled with a bunch of vets on the min and would never get by Boston or GS

Yep we are short on ammo. We need to get lucky with some salary dumps and hope Gilbert is willing to eat long term salary to upgrade, which with Lebron taking the short term contracts he probably won't want to do.

I feel bad for the guy because he clearly seems happy.

I wish this whole free agency cloud wasn't hanging over this franchise because I think it would be easier to possibly swallow drafting a guy like this.

Kemba - Kawhi - Lebron would beat Boston. And have a better chance against GSW. Cavs should have won 2 games against GS this year with a 1 man team. A 3 man team would have been awesome.

But I also don't think they have enough for both. Or probably even just Kawhi.

CHA has Walker who will be a free agent at the end of the year so he's a one year rental. They also have Nick Batum who is a decent player but has a 3 year 25 million contact CHA would love to get rid of.

one year of walker is not worth what we would have to give up and take on batum deal

I would'nt be taking on more money that we will still be paying after kemba and LBJ leave.
If LBJ leaves after next year we will literally be done with all of the big contracts..lbj's, loves and TT

Would not be adding more

If LeBron would just freaking say something, we could probably get Kemba immediately. But no, this is going to carry out another 2 weeks.

Oh? Is LeBron committing going to make Batum's deal only $17 mil a year instead of $27?

who cares how much money we take back if it improves the roster and keeps LBJ in Cleveland i'm all in

Exactly, how much can Charlotte ask for to get rid of that contract? Assuming Lebron stays, Walker plays for a year while Sexton plays back up and hopefully improves. Somehow get rid of Hill? The Cavs should have a solid group at point guard and it's only Dan Gilbert's money. lol.

Why not, exactly? If all those contracts are off the book and we're in the middle of a tank, what does Batum's contract matter? We'd be under the cap and playing cheap, young players anyway. It's not like Cleveland can attract free agents without grossly overpaying, so I very much doubt the Cavs will be major players in the free agent market if Lebron leaves.

If we can get kemba and keep sexton that would be great!
