My guess is he yeets a pita like a frisbee into JBB’s face.
At half the weight! Think of the fuel cost efficiency and savings in the Cavs Charter plane! He has that throwback chucker confidence.
Antawn Jamison esque!
The kid has skills but the lack of footspeed is really evident here.
It’s exactly what he needs. He’s nearly messed up his life. Hanging with some dorks could have a positive influence on him.Not exactly a culture fit with our team of choir boys.
Yeah you can really see that low start point on his shot. Can see how that’d cause problems with lengthy defenders. Probably why he’s working in the step back so much

Yeah just an observation, I have no personal excitement or disappointment as it’s pick 49.Tyrese Haliburton and Kevin Martin have similar start points.
Exactly, stand in the corner and shoot the ball without remorse if it swings your way.Despite all the ill-advised shots Bates takes, he’s 40% for C&S this past season. We don’t have to have him generate offensively but we can get him opportunities to create spacing and length for this offense in his rookie season. There’s some positives we can utilize offensively that we need.
The fact that he's 19 with two years of college basketball under his belt is nothing but a positive, imo.Forgot about this but Bates likely did himself no favors by reclassifying a grade up and being a freshman at Memphis when he should have been a HS senior. Two years in college already and he’s still just 19.
Super young. Doesn’t even turn 20 until Jan 28thThe fact that he's 19 with two years of college basketball under his belt is nothing but a positive, imo.
