Crazy how young he is still. Certainly, red flags around attitude and coachability, but no one falls that far and that fast with a pristine resume.

The lack of explosiveness is evident, but could maybe be improved with proper NBA conditioning. Those tall frames only develop a bit later in the NBA. He seems to have an only OK shot that could be developed/improved. His ability to handle the ball + pull up does fit in with the way our offense runs, and I like his length.

Not a bad roll of the dice in second round.

He's not the GM anymore. Gainsey is the GM. Also no one expected Cavaliers to take Garland and he got destroyed when he did. You can call Mobley luck. Him taking Garland was him making a wise decision though. You have to give someone credit when they deserve it. For taking Garland he deserves some credit.

I'm pretty sure he just approves what ever Gansey wants to do now. He has a cushy job where he gets to blame his subordinates if they make a bad choice. Why would he keep putting himself at risk.

Looking at the combine tape, I see the offensive talent, but defensively a trainwreck.. I think his number one weakness is that he has no lower body strength.. No lateral, no lift. He gives up defensively after a try or two.. He appears to have no endurance either. he is young, but the only way I see him succeed is to spend two years lifting with Okoro, and or working out with Caris. actually in a lot of ways he is the exact opposite of Okoro..

Perhaps that's what the cavs see with him. If he can get his body right, I thinknhe can play. His catch and shoot was money despite the bad habits.. most of the time on the catch and shoot threes he drops the ball down to thigh level before he begins his motion.. facing NBA athletes he is never going to get that shot off.. , but he demonstrated a consistent stroke, and drained a few more off balance shots or shots off the dribble.

Don't know if he just had shitty coaches, or if he is a true knucklehead, but he is pretty low skill considering raw talent and the amount of ball he has played..
