Welcome Larry Sanders and So Long

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
As the Charge announcer understated, he looks a half-step slow... But it also became clear that opponents were adjusting their plans and their shots when they saw him in the lane. It looks like he's just as enthusiastic about trying to block shots as he used to be with the Bucks.

Hopefully they keep him running and give him enough time.

He has had two blocks that counted and several more that didn't due to whistles. Honestly, he looks like a guy who hasn't played organized basketball in a couple of years right now, as expected.

Even in his unconditioned, out-of-basketball-rhythm state, his length is standing out.

He is out of shape isn't used to the speed yet. But you can see the potential. His arms are so, so, so, long hdoesn'tnt jump to contest. He is fouling a lot because he can't keep up with the speed. hopefully a that will come back sooner than later.

Out of shape yes, rusty yes, still didn't allow one guy to make a basket on him when he challenged a shot. He is long and has good timing, excited to see him getting back into shape you can definitely see why this guy was the best % rim protector in the NBA at some point in his career.

Sanders was a little awkward at times but I think the D-league refs tagged him with at least a couple of undeserved fouls.

That's because he is on the Cavs D-league affiliate and not the Warriors affiliate. He needs to get used to that for the possible Boston series when he blocks IT's shots.

Sanders blocks one of Greens shots in the finals I die a happy man :celb (7):

I want... Wait, Larry Sanders? To block green? Well I hope be blocked a lot of Green before if he wants to do that in the Finals.

Still nothing on Youtube. I'm going to watch the full game now on the Facebook link of the Canton Charge and skip to the times where Sanders was in the game (Play by Play)

The blocks were with 1 min. to go in the 3rd and at the 10:51 mark in the 4th...

Also had a block that didn't count at the 11:16 mark in the 4th..

Boy, what a sight it would be to have someone off the Cavs bench block and alter shots...

He looked very good protecting the rim. Good positioning and freakish length makes him a force inside.
He was a bit sluggish at times on defense and was called for a couple of BS fouls but I liked what I saw on that regard.
Movement wise, he moves extremely well for guy that had missed couple years of basketball. He runs the floor like a gazelle still.

On offense, he is jsut too skinny to be effective right now, especially with players that can't set him up properly. Although he doesn't really put himself in a position to be effective on that end yet. His shot is rusty but has potential and his screens were alright considering the fact that he is super frail.

Most positive thing imo, is the fact that he competes and still has passion. I'm optimistic.

It will be interesting what happens now. Cavs have away games west of the Mississippi Today, Wednesday and Friday and home Saturday. The Charge don't have a game until Thursday and then next Tuesday. All away from here on all. They would have to fly him around the country to get Charge games in and to be on the bench with the Cavs.

Wouldn't shock me if they just kept him in Cleveland to work on his conditioning, run him through some individual drills, and then join the team on Saturday at home.
