Welcome Larry Sanders and So Long

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
He could be huge for us. Honestly it was said about JR and Derrick that they are unfocused Team Killing cancers that will never contribute to a winning Team.. now look at them.

If Larry is serious about his comeback he has a great shot of proving everybody wrong. Be a real piece on a title Team would really help with how people view him.

Two factors why i think he will be great for us in depending on the opponent 10-20 minutes:

1. His game never really was skill.. if he is in shape he will Block Shots, Rebound and Dunk like he never missed 2 years. Maybe not from Game 1 on but after he gets his legs back under him... yeah

2. As with JR and Derrick.. we seem to be the perfect spot for abanoned headcases and busts.. Our FO would not have signed him if he doesnt seem to have his head straight and acted proffesional.

^ Must mean Love will be back....

I gotta tell ya, Derrick Williams really isn't contributing to a winning team since he's come aboard. Cavs are 6-6......................

Also, no one ever said he was a team killing cancer.

I'm not liking that. He needs to develop as much on court chemistry with this team that he can. Gonna be hard to do that in limited minutes in the playoffs and just practice.

Unlike Derrick Williams and Bogut, Sanders hasn't played ball in a couple of years. He's not in game shape, and won't have the timing down on his shot (such as it is...) or even his defense. He needs to get in game shape, and the only way to do that is by playing a lot of minutes. And he can't do that with the Cavs.

I think the plan is to give him a few Games in the D-League and as soon as he looks to be in game shape and has gone through 1 or 2 practices with the Team, they will call him up

Plan = See ball, get ball!.. Mix in some "get that weak shit outta heres" and stay healthy (i.e., don't injure yourself 58 seconds into your first game).... Simple enough..:biggrinthumb:

I think hopes that Sanders will be some kind of defensive weapon this year are probably misplaced. Getting all the rotations down, timing back for blocks, etc., is asking a lot. His FT shooting is likely to be bad enough to keep him off the court in 4th.

Realistically, I think his mission is to back up TT and try to ensure we don't get steamrolled by some other teams' big men. Against smaller lineups, he probably won't play much, if at all.

He's gonna try roll up Kay Felder.....
