Welcome Luke Travers

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Scottie has been perpetually drunk since he came out with his bourbon after that 'The Last Dance' stuff. Don't take anything he says, or does, seriously.
Scottie was 100% correct on his assessment of Michael Jordan as a selfish player. MJ and the Bulls were a perfect storm: a great coach, HOF guys in his supporting cast, a HOF bigman for free, an offensive system built around MJ, a rules system built around MJ, a media machine built around MJ, and a convenient retirement while his team was retooled. Last Dance was just another example of putting MJ on the pedestal like he did it all himself. Would think a generation that watched LBJ and Durant fail to 'be like Mike' that maybe, just maybe, his greatness in terms of titles was a product of a great team and not because Jordan 'willed' it. Scottie has every right to be bitter that Jordan continues to fail to give his team and teammates their due. Want a poster child for why this last gen of NBA stars can be mildly insufferable? Look no further than the myth of 'Be Like Mike's.

Controversial take: Mike doesn't win a single ring without Scottie.

Bulls making the 2nd round without him says a lot.

I was worried about Luke after Summer league, but glad he is playing well for Melbourne. If he develops, it will be huge for this team. Maybe he can be a stat stuffing Dean Wade

The thing that struck me with him in summer league was how he almost always was near the top or the top player in +/- every game, regardless of his counting stats. Obviously +/- is a very flawed stat that is riddled with caveats, but he seemed to have a net positive impact when playing. Summer league is not a place in which "glue" guys shine, usually.

We couldn't really tell if Delly was good or not. He had a lot of similar hustle plays and just small detail stuff. Good defense and played smart. What else do you need if he makes guys better? Some of his playmaking was sick.

Scottie was THE selfish player on the team. Never forget when he refused to in the game because the coach called a play for Tony K to last shot (which he hit)!

in 20 years time, will kids be debating on how steph is not the greatest shooter of his time because he didn't win championships without klay thompson and draymond green?

No because shooter is more objective whereas overall impact for goat is not. There's been a great thinking basketball pod series this summer on it

Shooting isnt predicated on teammates in the same way as winning a title is predicated on teammates, honestly its a silly statement. Pippen has been drastically under rated as a player for years.

That isn't close to being true except on the margins. Good shooters tend to shoot well regardless of what team they're on. But plenty of Hall of Fame players still don't win titles.

When’s his next game?

How many games per week do they play over there?

Shooting is the weakest part of Luke’s game. Don’t get the comparison with Dirk??
