Welcome Todd Haley - Browns OC

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Damn assholes, always trying shit to get me interested again. Don’t you dare go out and get Alex Smith or Cousins, you bastards!

I love it. Haley is good. Has his own system. Needs a QB to run it. He has a winning track record from a winning (Dominate) team. Our front office/management has made a lot of (on paper) DAMN good moves so far this off season. Its giving me some hope for next season. Only downside is Hue stayed on as HC, but we will see.

I don’t think it’s anti browns. What he’s saying isn’t incorrect.
It's absolutely anti Browns with regards to the moves they've made over the last couple of months. He likes the roster and assets but does not like that Sashi got fired.

He's not anti-Browns at all. He's anti-how the Browns are run. He's a "the Browns should be so much better than they are" guy more than anything.

Are we happy? Does he bring potential?

He’s a great OC.

Questionable temper, but fuck it, we need some fire offensively.

We need to get a veteran QB immediately though. Cousins, Alex Smith, etc.

Do we dare go the Sammy Sleeves route if we end up on dead end streets?

If you can get him for something that’s really only guaranteed a single season, partial the following.

Something like what Mike Glennon got in Chicago.

Best take I've seen thus far.
True. And a legit concern and legit frustration in terms of how the league operates in general.

But not every team has the level of sympatico greatness between Brady and Bill. Brady can handle ANYTHING in terms of different gameplans. Not every QB or offense as a whole can.

Hue should be our OC. His offense works, when he has at least a mediocre QB running it (see Dalton, Andy) and I think he’s at least an above average play caller.

Problem is, a head coach is a manager of people - players, coaches - putting them in a position to succeed, motivating them, preparing them adequately; manager of the game - clock management, when to challenge, when to use time outs, when to accept or decline penalties, when to go for it or play it safe, etc; He’s terrible at all those things.

His strength is running an offense. Classic Peter Principle. Since he’d never accept a demotion to be an OC under a guy who actually possesses those head coach talents, he’s gotta go. We’re wasting our time as a franchise until we get a good head coach, not a good coordinator who got a promotion.

Way to go Jimmy.

Based on Hue's statements, he will be the one selecting an OC. At the least, he'll be able to say "no" even if he doesn't get his first choice.

Hue is too smart to sign off on/hire his potential replacement. He knows that's his death warrant. So that leaves young smart guys without the experience to take over as HC, and I don't see any of them coming here.

Zampese would come, and isn't a real threat to take over as HC.
Well there goes that narrative.
