What could we get for Varejao and Thompson?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
both guys have to play some more to raise their value

tristan has to prove he's the real deal this season

andy has to be healthy

We have to throw in Zeller to get Steven Adams? I don't see how that benefits us. Adams is highly unlikely to ever reach AV's level, so...... AV for Adams, Lamb, 2016 and 2018 first rounders. That's closer to making sense for us.

And we'd have to already have acquired another center who can play right away in a separate transaction since we're actually trying to win now.

AV for Adams, Lamb and 2 first rounders?!? You do know that Varejao hasn't played more than 31 games since LeBron was back right? Honestly I'd take Varejao for Adams right now, in a heartbeat. Clear up more cap space too.

Love to see everyone so high on Adams lol. Did anybody actually see him play last year? Kid is lost on the court and has no clue what he's doing. He blew up with buzz from a nice combine, decent workouts, and his sheer size. Yes he may develop into a nice player, but it won't be for at least 3 years. I personally think he busts. Anyways, we don't have the time to wait multiple years for a center to contribute if we want to win.

Personally I hope we keep both AV & TT.

Yea, I think trading Tristan for Adams, a project center who hasn't played a minute, is insanity.

So why would we want to sell low? And if we're trading him at the deadline, obviously he has been healthy, so what you're saying won't be as much of a factor.

You CAN'T take Adams for AV. The salaries would have to match. And it's absolute insanity to trade for a guy who has the upside IN A FEW YEARS to be as good as Andy. We're not in rebuild mode, we're in build mode. They have nothing to offer us that's going to help us.

hmmmmmmm.......Cavs need a center? I wonder if Toronto would trade us Valanciunas for TT even up? I doubt it. Never did understand Grant's thinking on that one. As for AV, we'll just have to hope he can stay healthy 'til the trade deadline. If he does, Cavs will probably be looking at the 6 or 7 seed in the east. If he doesn't, we won't get much for him.

People are underrating Andy. Before his injury, he was one of the best centers in basketball. He was averaging 14 and 14 (league leader) and providing the inexhaustible energy he always provides. There is no way we could get equal value in a trade for Andy. I would much rather keep him than trade him for pennies on the dollar...

As for TT: Why do we want to trade him? He showed immense progress last year and has shown he is a diligent hard worker. He will get better and is on an excellent contract. The only scenario I would want to trade him is in a package netting us an all star big back. In truth, I don't think TT will command that much in trade value just yet anyway. Give him a year or two of improvement and I bet the league's opinion on him will improve significantly.

We need a center, so lets trade our center who was on his way to an all star season last year for a guy who MIGHT be able to play center in a few years.

Please stop, I can't take this.....

What is this? Keep an eye on this one....

So wait... People think a player with an expiring contract who was averaging 14 and 14 before an injury has no trade value?

With draft picks: I think we could get an all-star. Horford, Aldridge, maybe Love down the road, etc type of player.

Wow.....why do ppl want to trade TT....for Adams? lol

Wow is this Cavfanatic?

I was going to post on trading Andy or TT but if I did I would have to go to confiscation twice this week.

Umm, no one said anything about TT for Adams. If anything I would package Thompson, Varejao, and maybe a 1st rounder for Alderidge. Then sign a SF for a decent price.
