What do you think of Sasha?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If we are talking about getting character guys in C-Town, Patterson is not your guy. He did though have a solidish 2nd half of the year in Portland. God damn his free throw shot is awful, but i'm sidetracking now.

With the Cavs chasing a free agent 2 guard, we are looking at Newble, Luke, Jiri and Sasha all off the bench. Sasha, Ira and Luke all have at least 2 more years under contract, with Jiri just the one. One of these players has to go, with Sasha a strong possibility as he has at least been showcased. I do like him, but trading him or one of the other swingmen to fill other voids is essential.

Sasha Pavlovic probably played to most of our expectations. He showed he had a nice stroke and could get to the hole. He is quite athletic which helps him be an adequate defender, and his first quick steps gets him inside. His lack of consistent playing time really stunted his development. Now this is ok if he players in front of him were performing, but this obviously wasn't the case. Its hard to see a clear future for him here with our management chasing hard on that elite guard. This closes the door on significant minutes for him and the other guys. Its just wait and see with who gets squeezed entirely out.

I can't understand why people would want to bring players like Patterson and Alston to the Cavs after we just got through having another low character player like McInnis play a major role in ruining the season. The Cavs can't afford to bring in anymore malcontents or players with a history of problems with where they are right now in their development. If this was a veteran team with some veteran leaders than I might be more willing to take a chance.
The Cavs need to only bring in high character players right now who aren't a risk to cause any trouble and who will help get things headed in the right direction. A big problem in recent seasons has been too many low character guys you can't count on when things get tough. I've had enough of that. Neither Patterson and Alston also aren't that good of a player to risk possible problems either.

About Sasha, I agree with much of what has been said. I'd prefer to keep him around but if a good offer came then I'd be willing to move him. Sasha does show a lot of raw ability and talent. I think he can become a starter in the league. He's still only a 21 year old 2nd year player. Think what he might become when he's 25.

towards the end of the season i saw sasha really start to show.He was nervous and when he got open it was a 50/50 on a make.He is very underrated on his jumping ability and suprises a lot of guys the way he can take it to the hole.I like him and i would like to keep him.
