Efficiency matters less than volume to the Cavs as long as the percentage is decent. They would rather have a guy who will shoot 8 times per36 at 35% than someone who shoots 4 times per36 at 40%. The Cavs did a study according to Fedor that looked at if volume or percentage spaced the floor better and they found it was volume if the percentage was 33%+.It all depends on how much better his three point efficiency improves . Same as with the Older Mobley. One of the two will be the 15 th guy on the roster
My guess is they still want to give CPJ an NBA deal. 20 extra days to sign makes the cap impact for the year lower overall for that deal. It also rewards Nance, allows them to see him if they want to rest players. They do not really have any back to back games over that 20 day period, but several single day rest games. I think he could come in on the back half of a few games.I have absolutely no issue with the Cavs rewarding a member of Cavalier basketball royalty, who has been working his tail off, with a couple of ten days. I actually love it. Cleveland basketball does have a legacy.
I dont think anyone should look much past it being just that though. He's unlikely to play any minutes and unlikely to get more than a couple of these deals.

If he looks decent then I would guess they certainly would sign him to a Two-Way deal when CPJ signs an NBA deal. I do not believe the 1-day contracts count against his NBA time on the Two-Way.
Nance went bananas in his last Charge game:
Probably better suited for the iMobley thread, but I wonder why his game doesn't translate to the NBA level as muchthink he is a better prospect than iMobley tbh

Yeah, in the G League you don't have to deal with speed demons like Kevin Love and Georges Niang.Foot speed at G-League for big men is a world of difference than at the NBA level.,
