Who would you trade?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I would literally trade anyone on this roster for the right value. No one on this team deserves to be labeled as untouchable. Not one single person.

Now, you don't trade them just to trade them. You have to get value.

Unless its Jack and Clark. Then you trade them just to trade them.

Ya no one is untouchable

Despite all the rumors and negativity from some about him, I keep Kyrie. I'm open to trading everyone else. No one should be off limits among them. Obvious this is a badly put together roster that does not have a bright future at all.

I'm open to trading everyone but would prefer to keep Bennet, Delly, and Karasev.

If we can get a lottery pick for Kyrie I'd pull the trigger. That would lead to more losses ensuring us a top 5 pick hopefully and then later pick as well. Great way to restart knowing we have the Memphis pick also sitting there in the future.

If I were the one running the cavs I would be open for anything except trading Irving.

trade everyone including kyrie. change the coaching staff. start fresh, build from the 2014 draft. get coach k.

There is literally not a single person on this roster I wouldn't be open to trading.

The more I read about Kyrie, the more he just sounds like a lazy prick. If we could get a top three pick in this draft on draft day and three of the top four guys declare, I'd send his lazy ass packing.

I agree. I'd go top 5 if we get something else. If we're keeping Waiters, Smart and Exum would probably complement his size better.

or maybe we settle for two of Embiid/Wiggins/Parker :D

I do truly wonder how high a pick the Cavs would need to move Kyrie if everyone comes out. If the Cavs are picking, say, 5th or 6th, would a team offering #3 for Kyrie be enough? Leave 2014's draft with #3 and #5/#6?

Waiters may have scored a lot yesterday, but I didn't think he played well. He didn't pass the ball to guys, especially Bennett, who were wide open which lead to turnovers. He just happened to be making pretty much everything he shot last night.

I didn't watch the game in full. But in the moments I did see, I saw him make some nice passes. But I think he is a bit of a scorer off the bench type. At least right now. And some games he will score close to 30 and other games he will be a non-factor. Like many 6th man/scoring types. So I'm not sure. The talent is certainly there. That is what makes it hard to trade him.

Some of you are insane...

Embiid, Parker, and maybe Wiggins are the only talents in this draft that have to ability to produce the way Kyrie has already produced in the League. You can argue all you want about who else in the draft has such potential, but the fact is it's just that: potential. Kyrie has proven his talent against NBA competition.

He's fucking 21 years old. Not even close to his peak. Sixth youngest player in history named to an All-Star Game. I think its ludicrous to even entertain trading Kyrie for a completely NBA-unproven player, i.e. a draft pick.

A bird in the hand...

Priority to trade: Deng, Jack, Miles (plus Clark and Gee)

Deng: Should at least be able to recoup the type of assets we gave up to get him, plus a large expiring.
Jack: But you absolutely don't send out any assets with him. At worst, you get someone on a moderately bad contract who may fit better.
Miles: Has played well and is expiring so has value. Might be able to get a late first from a contender. Plus you will get back a cheap guy to make salaries work, and you be able to able to get something of value in this player.
Clark: Seriously, I can't imagine a team wanting him, unless it is to make salaries match in a larger trade. If a team is willing to give a second rounder for him plus an expiring, fine. Or if a team is giving up on a young player who may still have some potential (picking a random name, Biyombo).
Gee: Pretty much the same as Clark, but I suspect even less value.

Consider trading if the right trade comes along, but I don't think you are going to get what you want unless it is a larger trade with many parts:

Varejao: Sort of hard for me to believe he'll be traded now, but maybe with the new GM...
Thompson
Waiters: I'd look into trading him in the off-season though. You'd be selling low right now.
Zeller

Don't want to trade:

Irving: But hey you never really know...
Bennett: Just starting to show what he can do.
Karasev: Completely unknown what he can do in the NBA.
Delly: Shown to be more valuable than simple "trade filler."

Trade filler -- include in trade if necessary:

Sims
Felix

Does this need its own thread? Why not a general trade deadline thread?

At least state a doable trade and not just rattle off names.

Clark bad, move Clark, get something, Matt Damon.
