Why give up on Gooden so soon?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
nah lebron is a small forward end of story luke is not a pg, that was a terrible idea dude luke sasha in the s/l? uh nope. It will be...

Sarunas/AD/Mouse
Hughes
James
Gooden/Evans/SAR etc..
Z

Snow
Newble/sasha
luke
av
tbd

Putting Lebron at PF was done half - jest but I guess it didn't come across.

In all serious though running a small lineup like that once in awhile could be used to our advantage quite well. Lebron can easily defend some of the more offensively challanged PF's (Ben Wallace, Reggie Evans) and they would have a hell of a time matching up with us. Again not to be used regularly but something I think we can spring in certain matchups

Maybe we should just move Lebron to PF and play Luke Jackson at the PG with Sasha at SG.

AV/Lebron/Hughes/Jackson/Sasha: run and gun baby. We could outdo the Suns although Lebron would have to stay downlow like Amare which I think he could do quite well

Best. Idea. Ever. :gheylaf:

Lebron is a backcourt player Amare is a front court player....I rest my case..I'm sure we will run some small lineups some defensive lineups some big lineups some quickness lineups, we will try a lot of stuff to see how we fare against the competition.

We better not give up on Gooden this year, he's almost a lock to start now that Swift and SAR are taken. Barring some weird sign-and-trade.

And next year if he's not working out, as someone brought up before, his good numbers will get him a better FA contract elsewhere. Nothing to feel bad about.

All he has to do is get with Z and Mike Brown and clean up the defensive rotations. If he only has this 1 thing to focus on this year he can only improve, especially since we'll have better perimeter defense. The "offensive-minded" rap he picked up, I feel is overkill. There was only 1 stretch of games when either Z or Lebron was out and he was basically told "go be the 2nd option, we need you to score" and he responded.

So either he chooses to be a defensive cog on a good playoff team with the league's best player and all its accolades, or he gets traded next year to a sucky team and gets paid while we get the bruiser PF. Whichever is fine with me, but I"ll take the 1st one.

Don't blame Silas. He's actually won something. To many times young, immature players with large bank accounts don't want to listen to what's good for them. Gooden is what he is. He has a low BBIQ like Tyson Chandler (shooting two's at the buzzer when you need a 3). He's talented, but you can't trust him in MEANINGFUL games when smarts and dicipline count.

The Caveliers will be best served starting Anderson "Caveman" Varejo at power forward as a defensive presence. Moving Gooden to the bench will give you some strength where you need it most (besides that troublesome pg position). Gooden could give you some offense in the second unit. A guy that can run around a play with the rest of the league's second tier players. You don't need all of your offense in the starting lineup.

Dude, this website is called 'REAL CAVS FANS', not 'NON CAVS FANS'. If your gonna post here, add something positive, don't continually dog this team, because you will eventually get banned.

Have a nice day :)
