Why Nate hasn't gotten any offers

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm sure he would come in handy if we ever get in a fight with the Nuggets

I just think his temper is what really makes him a detriment to a team.

I say sign him. We can send him to fuck up Anthony Johnson.

That last sentence is up for debate..

If nobody's even making him an offer at this point, doesn't that speak of Nate's value around the league right now?

P.S: I'm NOT debating who's the better player here.. just who has more value around the league..

P.P.S: I may even be wrong, but I really don't see how you can say a package with Nate looks A LOT more attractive than a package with Boobie.. Even if teams would rather have Nate, the fact that he's receiving very few offers, shows me that he doesn't have that much more value than Boobie at this point..

Hollinger touched on this, but restricted free agents always get much less play than their talent would suggest. Teams never know if the original team would match, so why tie up $$$ week, let other targets go elsewhere, only to find the original club match.

In knowing a little about the European game and a lot about Robinson - both he and Eddy House went to one of my former schools - I'd say he wouldn't last a season in Europe.

I know how everybody says we can't sign Nate but it would be smart for him to come and play on a championship team for one year and up his value and cash in big money on the big 2010 free agency. I think it is possible because if he really isn't getting any offers and it is this late in free agency I know he won't wanna go to Europe. I thought Marquis Daniels signed with Boston for the BAE(I think they are still working somethin out) so getting Nate for BAE shouldn't be to unrealistic. And to those who say he is gonna hurt our team, we can afford to take these kinda risks because its not really a risk at all. To me he would be a perfect back up too Mo.

The video with portland shows that Steve Blake can't guard Nate Robinson at all.

Also I don't think the knicks match an offer. He has been on the outs with the team since his fight with the nugs.

IMO, robinson is a low risk vet min guy. He can play exciting basketball without a lot of help, so he is a good guy to put on the floor when our starters are taking a blow, so the other team remains on its heels. Conversely if we are behind and we don't want to rely on Lebron, you can turn this guys loose and he will keep the energy level up out there. you have to guard him with speed, which means the otehr teams point guard is going to be working hard at both ends. So I say why not.

First team
Pg-Mo
Sg-Delonte
Sf-LeBron
Pf-Andy
C-Shaq

Second team
Pg-Nate
Sg-Boobie
Sf-Jamario
Pf-Joe Smith?(or whatever vet PF we sign)
C-Ilgauskas

Third team
Pg-Russell Robinson(hopefully)
Sg-Anthony Parker
Sf-Jawad(or camp invite Sf)
Pf-JJ Hickson
C-Darnell

Thats like two good starting NBA teams and one NBA team thats decent. (The third team is better than you think with Anthony Parker and JJ on it. Plus you know Jawad is lights out lol).

JK Parker on the third team? As for Robinson no one will offer him anything because New York will match. I do not understand how people would not take 17 ppg for a BYE.

I actually think that Parker would be the second team SG or at least pray as such because Boobie sucks.

With Robinson our rotation would become quite extraordinary compared to most other teams. We could literally keep our guards at under 28 minutes a game and suffer almost NO dropoff when we put in our reserves. Boobie also becomes expendable because he is just an undersized combo guard with no point guard skills.

Mo - 28
Nate - 24
Delonte - 24
Parker - 20

Our forward rotation is quite exceptional as well. We could literally limit LeBron to 34 minutes a game with the forward rotation depending on the game and team of course. When we go small with LeBron/Moon at the 3/4 it doesn't matter which we call SF or who is called PF.

LeBron - 34 (32 at SF)
Moon - 22 (16 at SF)
AV - 24
JJ - 18

Situationally Z or Shaq could be at the PF spot to match up with some teams like maybe the Lakers or the magic if they ever had Gortat and howard in at the same time.

Plus our C rotation is tops in the league especially when you consider the fact that our two Cs are polar opposites and both starting quality Cs. And we have AV if either one gets hurt or doesn't feel up to play.

Shaq - 28
Z - 20

I am so excited for this year, with or without Robinson our team should have no problem limiting our players minutes to a point where they can play with the most energy possible all game long. No plays off.

^^^^^ I know on Parker but I was tryin to more evenally space out the teams. Parker is the superstar of the last team:chuckles:

Shaq doesn't like Robinson, perhaps "strongly dislike", he'll never be on the team.

When the Suns were playing the Knicks, I recall Robinson yelling at Shaq and talking lots of trash to him, and Shaq just looked pissed off the entire time. I am rather certain Shaq doesn't like him and neither does Robinson like Shaq.

When did Lebron become "great friends" with Nate?

They talk all the time during games and LeBron is always there talking with him for awhile. Plus they go to parties together sometimes in NY.
