Wild Speculation

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Why do I get the feeling that the Cavs' "big trade" is going to be somebody like Daequan Cook?

Deron Williams :D

Just dreaming.

Surprised thread hasn't blown up tbh

Wow, W&G said himself he's not that closely connected anymore. Also, all he said was we have some big trade options he hopes we can get done and that we are trying to get into the draft. We all pretty much can guess that. I'm sure any team not in the draft is trying to get in and many teams have trade options. OPTIONS that we are just working on, not any close deals.

We also thought last year that we'd get a high pick and people were hoping for Earl Clark; instead, we kept our pick and drafted Eyenga...out of nowhere.

What I'm trying to say is this:

1. W&G didn't even SAY anything's even CLOSE to going down, and even if it was, he wouldn't know.
2. Anything can happen, but I doubt anything big will go down. If it does, I will rep every crazy overreacting post after W&G's.

As many that know me know now, I'm really not tied close to the day to day goings on with the team, but do get wind of many things through other channels. The team is more active than at any time in trying to reconfigure the roster, and bring a big name in ... along with that also options that get us into the draft in a variety of ways...

... We have big trade options on the burner that could answer many of his concerns. Hopefully , for the sake of the franchise, I hope they are successful in getting done what they need to.

While I would say that some people are definitely overreacting, W&G has obviously heard something. Let's not be naive in thinking that he would not hear anything as he obviously has many other people to get info from.

So I'd say the Cavaliers are working on something and have options but it doesn't sound like anything is eminent or set in stone. As he said, we'll know in the next few days.

Well geez, could you be any more negative?

I think some are overreacting, and I still have my doubts about certain players being available (cough CP3 cough), especially for us, but we're trying! Of course something still might not happen which will lead to LeBron leaving....but at least we're swinging for the fences and not settling for more overpaid vets nobody wants. That's something to get excited about:D

I wondered if OKC would try that, though I expected MIA to force Jones in a deal with #18. Another great move if Presti can pull it off:(

ETA: supposedly official now...

Miami traded Daequan Cook and 18th pick for the #32 pick. Done deal. Miami gets even more cap space. I think Bucher, Woj also reported it.

Source with Miami confirmed it.

Presti owns.

You can't stop the Safari, you can only hope to contain it.

Why contain it? Embrace it.

A very vague post from W&G, hopefully he's onto something. No point in getting stoked yet though folks lol.
