Will RCF be able to survive trade deadline?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
There is an ad zone at the bottom of the new home page... if you can post what ad is showing when you have the problem we can remove it.

I don't know if this will help you or not. I was just browsing the forums (Cavs Talk), and a new browser window popped up and directed me to this site:

http://www.wowprizes.com/Prizes/18/main.aspx?pub=10039&sub=37317

I didn't notice any ads at the bottom of the screen before it happened. Once again, no damage done. All I did was close the new browser window, and all was well again. Hope this helps.

Gunther, you previously having infections definitely makes this sound like a local issue.

The best things you can do to help fix your infections are:

Try to run the most thorough scans you can, in a non-windows environment. If you can't do this, then just run them in Windows. Recommended scanners include:

Avira
Panda
MBAM
Super Anti Spyware
Norton/McAfee/Kaspersky/Webroot
Spyware Doctor

No scanner can detect everything, and each of these scanners specializes in catching things the others don't. Also, if you're actively using AVG, you really should get new AV/AS on your machine.

After you scan thoroughly, and manually remove any infections caught by the scanners, run HiJackThis and post the logs somewhere on here for more tech savvy individuals to look at and tell you how you're looking.

Is it possible the downtime is due to vBulletin? Every site on the internet was working for me, except this site and another vB site. That one came back but isn't working again for some reason.

Ben, once again this was a non peak crash (like earlier in the day). everything was fine during and after the game, when I have to assume the peak was.

could have just been them fixing the server problem we experienced earlier?

I was getting "Database Error" last night a bunch and directed to a generic VBulletin screen

I repaired and optimized the databases about 6am this morning. We had a few technical glitches that seemed to be causing some of the downtime but not all of it.

I think the data center in Michigan may have had some troubles as well. Hopefully its all corrected now.

Good stuff, Benjamin..

I'm sure it's just Roy Hibbert f'n around with us again...

I have had some problems over the last couple of days. I think both times the problems took place around 1AM EST. Last night I would at first get a connection issue, and then later I got a database error. Hopefully the changes Ben made correct the issue.

Has nothing to do with it ...

You run the software to design the forum, then upload to a server, vBulletin doesn't distribute it in a cloud fashion ..

Er, at least that's how I've come to understand it..
