My take . . .

I never want to say never, but I don't think it's looking good. 6.5 back to a team that seems to be playing their best ball of the year doesn't sound promising. Couple that with our injuries and I'm guessing we finish around 5 games back, 2nd in the Central.

That being said . . .

I can't recall being as pumped for a season as I am for 2012. This team was decimated by injuries this year. Hafner, Sizemore, Choo, Kipnis, Brantley. All guys that missed time for us. If we can have a relatively healthy season along with the young guys (Kipnis, Chisenhall, etc) continuing to get better, I see no reason why we wouldn't be a contender for it all next year, let alone the Central. SP is pretty damn good, assuming Fausto has some type of consistency and Ubaldo pulls his head out of his rectum. Bullpen should only be stronger as well.

Bright days ahead Tribe fans.

Not enough talent on the roster to really be optimistic going forward. Counting on Hafner and Sizemore to stay healthy is a pipedream.

No. Nothing more needs to be said. I'm not pumped for next year either... Every year its " I'm so pumped for next year"

Maybe so, maybe no... Words from my wise great grandfather.

I don't like the 3 games at Texas. 6.5 back and still 6 against Detroit. Listen if we were 6 back and none against Detroit, I'll have major doubts, but this is a different case. Anything can/will/does happen. Little belief can go a long way. I know I get angry quick about losing and want to blame somebody, but there's nobody to blame. Injuries, injuries, and more injuries. It's just going to make next year a hell of a lot more fun if we miss out.

I've been a Cleveland fan too long to believe this team will make some miraculous come back with basically 1 month of baseball left. If this team can have a month like May, anything is possible. Almost feels like this team has given up though. If they can pull it off though they will be this years Cinderella team.

I remember why it's always easy to get over a disappointing end to an Indians season; because when the season ends we are already a month into the Browns. Don't have that luxury with the Cavaliers.

If the Indians can get hot in go 5-1 in there next 6 against bottom teams and move up to 4 back I don't think it's over with 6 against Detroit, but the team is eroding quickly. We may even finish 3rd at this rate. The pitching which has been so strong all season has started to fall apart, and Kipnis not being in the lineup has created quite the hole. I'll keep hope alive it's all I can do, but it really isn't looking good.

We would have to go 25-11 to have a shot if Detroit simply plays .500 here on out.

My goodness. I don't think Tampa is going to win one game at home against Detroit. Thanks Rays. Your the best.

Tigers have been accustomed to losing big leads, not saying the Indians will come back, but that's how it's been.

It's our own damn fault. When you have 4 games against one of the worst teams in baseball. You sweep, or take 3 out of 4. Should be a nice way to keep our heads above water. Instead, they whipped our ass.

To be fair, Indians were playing some damn good baseball heading into the Tigers series. They won two out of three against the Tigers at home, took two away from the Twins, then took two out of three in Chicago.

You have to wonder if the Tigers series just broke their spirit.

Don't think Detroit has lost since then.

Tampa; Bottom of 9th. 2 on. 1 out. Double play. Extra innings. LOL

I'd rather they miss pre-season then the real season.
