With the 39th pick of the 2022 NBA Draft ....

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
A lot of you liked Moses Brown as a back up big, seems to me that Diop has more upside than Brown does.

He may have more upside then Brown. I won't argue that. But he presents the same issue as Brown which is he lacks offensive skill. So hopefully he progresses offensively the next year or two in Spain and is ready to come over then.

At the presser they made it sound like they thing Diop is a 7 footer who can still be defensively switchable onto quicker guards and forwards. They said something about how slower bigs can get run off the floor and they felt this guy wouldn't be that kind of player.

I watched Bill Self's presser after the draft:
Self mentions that he heard from Denver a lot about their interest in Braun. But never heard from the Cavs at all.

Not that a coach's review of their own player should hold a ton of weight, but this just seems odd to me.

That would make him interesting. In the highlights I saw the few times he was on a guard he was decent at staying in front of them. But I wonder if he can do the same thing against NBA guards and wings.

Minott was better than Diop but clearly Isaiah was going to occupy the only roster spot available to a 2nd rounder so
