Seems like they think the Cavs have a type they are looking for in Round 2

Dalen Terry - A wing with a 7'+ wingspan
Jalen Williams - A wing with a 7'+ wingspan
David Roddy - A wing with a paltry 6'11.5" wingspan

p.s. No word yet on whether David has skills a possible rowdy piper.

Hopefully traded for two future seconds or attached to Cedi for a shooter. The Cavs shouldn't be bringing two rookies into camp and that extra draft capital could be useful in filling a need down stream.

Strong disagree on my end. Who knows if the Cavs have a major trade with a roster shakeup in their back pocket, but if not there will be a money crunch around the corner. Sexton's agents will be fighting for a big contract and Rubio has been reportedly linked to returning.

That tells me the end of the bench needs to be affordable. A high second round pick on a deep draft could bring a third point guard or a developmental player for the big push in 2023/24.

Nembhard though old, had a good showing at the combine. 6'5" pg sounds pretty good.

Koby has done such a good job with undrafted guys, I would guess he can find someone in the 2nd round.

Klutch can fight as hard as it wants for a big contract for Sexton. He's a RFA. Go out there and find a team willing to give it to him. The Cavs can match, or not.

Jalen Williams will go closer to #14 than #39.

I like Dalen Terry but he is someone that will need to put on weight to become as versatile as his measurements would suggest he could be. I wouldn't mind taking a shot on him where he plays backup PG to start and as he fills out we can use him in more places.

Two players I like that you didn't mention are Jordan Hall and Wendell Moore.

Jordan Hall could fit into this team fairly well but he might not be that defensively versatile. He has size but is slow footed so he might a point forward and can only defend SFs. He can run the offense and can shot 3s so he would most likely have a place in the 2nd unit.

Wendell Moore is a SG/SF that can be a secondary playmaker, defend, and shot 3s. I'm not sure how high his ceiling is, probably just a role player. I would rather take a swing at Dalen Terry or Jordan Hall if they were there but he could be a safe pick to add depth at 39.

I'm sort of rooting for Nembhard at #56. He'd be a great pick up at that spot.

Plus the name reminds me of World B Free.

I swear Russo is always 2 weeks behind on stuff with articles. There is no chance Jalen Williams is available at 39. He is probably on my top 5 choices at 14. Terry might slide up to given his strong combine performance.

I think holding on to this pick to grab the slider is always a good play. Last year it was Ayo. In previous years its been guys like Paul Reed. There is always someone.

Haven't looked into the 39 spot much at this point, but I do like what I am seeing from the names mentioned in this thread so far.

Jalen had to be the most popular name between 2000-2002….

I wonder if it was people consciously or subconscious picking the name. It definitely tied to the peak of Jalen Rose's NBA career.

It's like all the guys name Dylan (or Dillon) that were born in the early 90's when 90120 was at its peak. I'm pretty sure alot of those parents weren't watching 90120 but the name was floating around enough that people were picking it without realizing where it came from.

I joke with my roommate from college that he subconsciously named his daughter after the car from Gone in 60 seconds because we use to watch it all the time.

I'm high on John Butler. At first I wasn't because of his weight. He's 7-1 and weighs 174. He has such a unique skill set. Good mix of shooting and shot blocking. Shot 44% off catch and shoot attempts. Needs to bulk up but could potentially play some PF next to Allen and Mobley because of his skill set. I also saw some teams think he can play SF.

Yeah this guy says he's a wing. Another big ball handler. Interesting

He looks like the offensive version of Mobley where he is better handling the ball and worse at everything else

Looks like he moves really nicely.
