Wolves, Sessions Near Offer Sheet

They have Wayne Ellington as a scoring wing.

The lack of teams making offers to Sessions this offseason was strange even with so many teams looking to save money. This a a 23 year old who's already proven to be a solid productive player at maybe the most important position on the court. This is also a guy who's also had a 44 point game and 24 assist game. Sessions isn't a superstar and will never be an all star but if you need a PG he'd bring someone who will at least be a solid player who can run a team. If given starter's minutes at PG he could easily be at least a 13 point 7 assist a game player. It was also common knowledge that the Bucks wouldn't match a contract that put them over the luxury tax.
If I was GM for a team in need of PG help I would have gone after Sessions.

Nice pickup for the T-Wolves but I'm not sure it's the best fit. They're in a major rebuilding stage so not every hole is going to get filled all at once.

Sessions will never be an All-Star? You may want to hold off on saying that. The guy is the most underrated player in the NBA. Give him a chance to start a whole season and I guarantee he puts up great numbers.

I think Sessions is and will be a very solid player and solid starting PG. I did say if I was a GM for a team that needed a PG I definitely would have gone after him. Only a small number of players become all stars and I don't see Sessions becoming one. There's nothing wrong with that and it's no indication he won't be a good NBA starter.

It's going to be tough out in the Western conference behind Paul, Williams, Parker, etc, but maybe he'll end up back east?

If Mo can earn a trip to the All Star game, I wouldn't rule out Ramon.

I wish we'd picked him up, albeit it always concerns me when a lousy team gives up on a promising (and relatively cheap) player ... still ... it is the Bucks. But we needed to address other needs, and no doubt he was looking for a chance to start.

What is it with Milwaukee not liking to keep good young point guards?

Mo Williams is not playmaker. He is scorer who can assist some. Same with Sessions. We don't like them because they don't have any idea how to run NBA team. Fortunatly for Mo he now play with LeBron and LeBron is the one who run your team so Mo can be scorer like he always was. Also both Mo and Sessions are terrible defansive players so that is another reason.

I am going to assume you are joking. How can you possibly be happy with losing 3 of your top 5 players that are all still young?

Our best players are Bogut and Redd. They are diference makers. When they were healthy last year we were playoff team. If we were healthy all year we would finish #4 at East. Yes better than Hawks.

RJ was terrible for us last year. He hurt more than help last yaer and when Redd was healthy RJ was totaly useless. We have LRMAM who is already top defender at SF and now we have Delfino to replace some scoring at SF. We will be better at SF without any doubt.

CV is terrible defender and volume shooter who was shooting good in his contract year. Detroit made big mistake. We got Ersan Ilyasova who is going to be better than CV. And we got Warrick to bring some energy at position from bench. LRMAM also can play here as well as good old Kurt Thomas. We will be better at PF without any doubt.

Sessions is one on one scorer without shoot and without leadership qualities. He is terrible PG and we will be better just because he is not here anymore. Jennings is going to be all star in few years and Ridnour is better than Sessions anyway. Ukic is fine 3rd string. We will be better at PG without any doubt.

Bogut missed most of the season last year. The guy is top 20 player in terms of overall influence to the game. He will be healthy this year. And he never had better backup (Thomas). We will be MUCH better at C without any doubt.

Redd is back as well. His knee is stronger than ever. Bell is healthy as well. Delfino can play some SG too. Meeks is going to be suprising rooke. We will be much better at SG without any doubt.

This season the Bucks could win as many as 50 games. Stay tuned.

I can decide who will be the worst team in the east this season, the Nets or the Bucks. I think the Bucks, cause at least the Nets got something for VC. Harris/Lee is a decent backcourt and Lopez will be good. The Bucks have nothing. Hammond is definitely the worst GM in the league.

You are going to look funny in few months :chuckles:
Last year we would win around 45 games if we were healthy. This offseason we improved at each position so it is only logical to expect around 50 wins.

PG: Jennings, Ridnour, Ukic
SG: Redd, Bell, Meeks
SF: Delfino, LRMAM, Redd, Ilyasova, Warrick
PF: Ilyasova, Warrick, LRMAM, Thomas
C: Bogut, Thomas, Elson, Gadz

Watch out :headbang:

hammond definitely is a bad gm but what should he do if the bucks are in financial trouble? that's why he gave up jefferson for nothing and didn't keep sessions and villanueva. i really feel sorry for michael redd he should have signed that contract with us back in the days when we had cap space...

We are not in financial trouble. THINK! We signed Warrick, Ilyasova and traded for Delfino and Ukic and with that moves we are 1 million from luxury tax. So we didn't cut salary or anything. We just prefered this roster to the roster we had last year.

You know what. So long as you Bucks fans are happy with the direction of your team, that is what matters. If it were my team I would be upset with the moves they've been making. But it's not my team. So if you're happy, then that's what matters.

Not happy with Sessions, especially when I blew a fantasy bball pick on him. I blame this thread.

Re: Wolves, Session Near Offer Sheet

Are you pissed right now to be a bucks fan? That is a fantastic deal for a player of sessions abiliity. Poor management and poor ownership never mix well.

If the Bucks don't match they may win only a single-digit amount of games.

Starting a raw rookie PG like Jennings is pretty much a guaranteed sub.500 record ... not that Ridnour or Sessions raise the odds all that much.

I am going to assume you are joking. How can you possibly be happy with losing 3 of your top 5 players that are all still young?

Bucks are going to suck, letting go of their 2 best young players in Villanueva and Sessions in the same offseason. Bogut's barely at all-star level, Warrick will prob. be starting at PF, Redd is declining IMO, and their two best young players are Luc Mbah a Moute and Jennings. And we'll see if Jennings can back up all the shit he talks...

Obawan is my favorite poster and it's not even close

You're a Bulls fan.

You said the Bucks were the best team in the Central because they started 4-2, please just shut up.
