Stupid comment.
Olajuwon has 2 rings, one of the greatest centers of all time, true class act of a person, and won his first championship with almost no help, ie only star on the team, something Jordan never did. I dont think Houston regrets passing on Jordan for Hakeem for a second, nor should they. Jordan's development could have been completely different in Houston without Phil Jackson and Hakeem developed just fine.
It's not like Jordan is some huge draft steal like Kobe was either. Jordan was taken 3rd it's not like he was taken 10th or more. Jordan could have went to Houston and been nothing more than Drexler who knows, likewise Hakeem could have been nothing more than David Robinson in Chicago or Portland.
Plus there is a reason Jordan was drafted after two big men, and it is the reason I personally am not a fan of perimiter stars very much. Big men until recently won titles almost exclusively. Bill Russell, Wilt, Shaq, Hakeem, Duncan, and Kareem are the greatest big men the game has ever seen and they are responsible for almost 50% of all of the titles in NBA history. Jordan, Magic, Bird, West, Kobe, and Oscar only make up about 35-40% of titles, and obviously some of them were on the same teams. It has only been about 30 years where the perimiter player has been able to lead a team to a championship.
