He is young and has a lot of potential but there is no room for him to start at sf. Lebron is a sf and I would be too scared to mess with him at the sg position when he obviously is more comfortable at the sf position. The most I would do is work out a 3 team deal where we get a good SG in return but even then Chicago would probably take that good SG before us.

No. I mean it depends what we'd give up, and if we truly got talent like Gray and Tyrus as fillers, I'd do it. I love those two guys. But for the most part I wouldn't, I think his contract is too big and long.

Why not go for Tyrus instead? Sure he's a bonehead but a guy like him off the bench would be a good boost. He can play the 3, I think.

Deng's an inch taller than LeBron, and does play PF a lot.

When?

Everytime I see the Bulls if they go small Nocioni plays PF to stretch the floor. Also, Deng is 6'8" in shoes not 6'9"

He cant shoot or handle at PF let alone SF.

From what I understand Deng has grown since he entered the league.

Wow, I thought more people would be high on Deng.

I think the reasons for his struggles are clear as can be, there are no set plays for him.

A couple of years ago when he was making a name for himself, you always saw him come off Staggers and shoot mid range jump shots. He is an excellent screen and roll player. How many times do you see the Bulls running those plays now? He gets his points on basically pull up jumpshots and trying to create for himself. It's not like he is doing a horrible job at that or something either.

When he was sucessful he played OFF THE BALL and did his damage. Hinrich got him the ball in his spots and he was very good. I personally think we need a guy like that next to Lebron and Mo. A guy who will play off the ball.

Our changed offense this year is a whole lot of screen and rolls. Deng can very well flourish in our system. He can definitley play the two, for a SF he has very good agility, especially lateral quickness. I see him guarding Kobe when the play the lakers and he doesn't do a bad job at it.

Another positive thing about him is his age, he is a couple of months younger than Lebron. They would hit their primes together which would be a bonus.

Once again, I just think the Bulls offense is not doing him justice. They put the ball in the hands of Rose who really looks for his shot more than his teammates. Ben Gordon is a much better fit next to Rose.

Gray is def not someone we want. He is a bonehead too. They have a lot of boneheads on the Bulls. I think they might give up Deng even for an expiring. They basically think he is untradeable right now. Anyone named Paxson should not be allowed to be a GM. Remember the Stepien rule, this is the Paxson rule.

I think Deng would be a nice player to get, but I'm not sure he is the answer if it means losing Andy. Plus, he is not a very good 3 point shooter. I assume Deng would be starting, and I don't think he has the size to start at PF, and he can't shoot well enough to play SG. He would have to be our 6th man.

If we could somehow get him for Wally then certainly that would be a sweet deal, but I'm still not sure how he fits with our team. He's essentially a poor man's LeBron, we already have the real thing.

Perhaps a 3-way trade would be the best way to get him; send Wally's expiring to some team that just wants an expiring and has someone the Bulls want...

You guys are acting like LBJ could never play the 4....

But do we start LBJ at the 4 and Deng at the 3, or would Deng come off the bench and be the 6th man? I don't think Deng in the starting rotation is what we need, but he would be awesome off the bench, taking Wally's role.

Mo, Delonte, LBJ, Ben, Z as starters, then when we go small for the last few minutes of the first quarter we'd have Boobie, Delonte, Deng, LBJ, Andy. Then to start the 2nd quarter Mo, Boobie, Deng, and 2 bigs... something like that is much more effective because of Deng's game (not a great 3pt shooter) I think.

In short, I don't like Deng starting, because I don't think he's a good enough shooter to play the SG position and he's not big enough to play the 4. Let's face it, LBJ isn't going to be starting at the 4 anytime in the next 5 years.

As a fellow brit i am a huge Deng fan. He is such a great system player that he would be an excellent complimentary player on any team. He's not comfortable being the man and in his game he has not established a go to move to get a shot consistently.

It's all about what it would take to get him. He's a stunning defender and a line up with him and james and ben though undersized could really apply some pressure up the floor.

AV is very important to the cavs, but if it reaches feb and no deal looks likely (which is counter to what i expect) then all bets are off

Bulls have alot of junk besides Rose I wont want anyone on that team they have alot of work to do they have like 5 SG and only 1 C and 2 PF LMAO

I'd take Deng and Tyrus for Wally and Andy straight up. Deng plays good D with intensity and he could play the 2,3, or 4. We aren't getting Bosh or Amare with Andy, Deng would be one of the better things we could get.
