And the other thing is if Jarrett can play at a high level, this is as healthy a team as it was since Sexton was hurt. Rubio (who was great pickup, but also a 36% shooter) and Wade (many DNP-CDs this year) gone, but replaced with LeVert and Rondo. That's about a wash. So the whole "we're banged up" mantra is not exactly correct right now.
You lost me at Rubio + Wade = LeVert + Rondo.

For me Rubio > Wade + LeVert + Rondo. Rubio's impact on Love and Cedi was very positive and Garland got more rest. Our bench was wrecking other teams on many nights. We played really well against some other good teams early on, and contrary to popular (or at least @Rich) opinion not all those good teams were suffering from injuries or Covid.

Plus with Rubio both he and the ball moved and we were playing beautiful basketball on both end of the floor.

In terms of one player on the Cavaliers elevating everyone else's play a strong case can be made that guy was Rubio.

Wade played some serious D on a lot of nights and we miss him too.

I think the way this team played all year (and people will understand the injury bug) we won’t be looked at as losers. If Koby does his homework we can get a very good player at 14! There’s a huge difference from a player taken at 14 than 20 or lower. And who knows the way the lottery goes we might luck up and get in the top ten
Top 4 or 14. No other possibility.

Considering our recent losing streak, the continued injuries, and how we just look so tired, I'm not sure it really does anything positive at this point for these guys to get hammered by the No. 1 seed. And I'm not a believer in Caris Lavert.

So I'd rather get the pick, but I won't be upset if we win.

If we lose we'll have somewhere between a 93-97% chance to have the 13th or 14th pick. I doubt whoever we would get at that point in the draft would be able to crack the rotation in the next couple of years.

Although Chris Duarte, the 13th pick last year, averaged 13.1 ppg for Indiana on 43.2% from the field. If he were on the Cavs next year I don't know if he would get any minutes with LeVert, Sexton, and Okoro on the roster.

Tonight is the lottery. Win and its playoff time.

Hmm
Considering the team has little to zero talent at the wing that's a tough statement to believe. The rotation has little to no shooting or size and defense at wing. No problem wanting them to win, but pretending there are not major wholes to be filled that a draft pick could help is pretty hard to believe in my opinion. You could always package the pick with Lavert and or sexton to get another player who would def play major minutes .

Hoping Cavs win this game. If not, let's see if Koby can unearth the next Cam Johnson or Herb Jones in the late lottery which is what this team really needs. Otherwise it can always be packaged in a trade on draft night. It does give the Cavs more options to potentially improve this offseason.

So is this one of those “deep drafts”? Are a lot of underclassman coming out?

Keep the pick now!! Can they trade for a coach too?

The Cavs have traditionally done well with 2.4%!

This was a dumbass post when it was first posted and still is.

I hope whoever started it is happy now

I’m actually excited already knowing that regardless this pick is going to be a guard/forward above 6’5”.,,,hopefully he has like actual basketball skills, athleticism, and a decent shooting formation.

WHat about Nikola Jovic?

1 letter away from a 2 time MVP
