Would you trade Z for TMAC?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Yes

Assuming he can play 75% of games and be healthy in the playoffs.

All you tards just answer the question and stop being tards.

Lighten up man it was a joke.

Why would anyone trade a key piece to there championship team for a crippled player. No one. Thats just dumb.

Has Z ever brought a championship here? I think not. Z can absolutely be a valuable BACK-UP center on this team, no doubt. But trading Z for T-mac (as I said, IF healthy, that's a huge IF) is a NO BRAINER. You can't argue that. Not possible.

Don't write off T-mac yet....personally I think a change of scenery would be absolutely beneficial for him.....and being healthy of course. Of course, the likelihood of us trading Z for T-mac is literally 0.05%.

I would trade Iverson for T-Mac, have we signed him yet?

What has Z have had around him before these last couple of years. Before we throw Z under the bus for not bringing a championship here I think we have to look at the fact that NO ONE has a brought a championship here since 1946. T-Mac is crippled and has brought nothing to playoffs teams. We dont need help in the regular season we need players who can help us get over the hump in the playoffs.

The chances off T-Mac coming back healthy and able to contribute this upcoming season are very very slim. Thats why I said this thread is dumb. No point in trading a championship piece for a player who will probably never play same.

^ So you've basically taken one play where Z made a good play and one play where TMAC made a boneheaded play and you're using that as evidence that Z is better than TMAC???

I don't disagree with your conclusion, but the way you went about "proving" it wasn't very convincing. Somebody else could just as easily post a great play by TMAC and a lousy play by Z and, by your way of thinking, "prove" that TMAC is the better player for us.

T-Mac was running slower than Z...chill out

Between this and the AI threads it's apparent we should just bring a bunch of overrated banged up players and we'll win the championship guaranteed :thumbdown

I think I need to take a break from here until August because some of these threads and ideas around this time of the year suck. No offense

People were saying the same thing about Shaq......everyone is spouting off way too early on all cylinders. Let everyone have their fun.

I'm in no way suggesting a T-Mac for Z straight-up deal.
However, what we know about the Rockets is that they're jonesin' for a C.
Hence their offer for Gortat who gave them the finger and signed with Dallas.

We've got two 7-foot C's on our roster
And they've got Scola and Von Wafer which could interest us.
And perhaps Carl Landry as well.
Could T-Mac figure into a multi-player trade?
Maybe, maybe not.
But it's something to consider, nonetheless...

T-MAC is not playing!!!! He's hurt!!!!

He's 30 years old and had microfracture surgery!!!

He isn't an option except for teams looking to cut cap room for 2010!!!!

Sorry to yell but some of you people need to READ this because you are making yourselves look stupid.;)

Yes

Read my post again.....

You can "assume" all you want...but there's a very good chance that McGrady doesn't even TRY to play this year. So why bother "assuming"...??

All McGrady is at the moment is a huge expiring deal that Houston may try to use to acquire some talent. He's not in Houston's plans....unless of course they can trade him

And by trade him, I mean his expiring contract because there is very little chance of him playing next year.

Didn't really have the interest to read most of the thread. My guess is that most of you already answered the question thoroughly.

T-Mac was a great player in his heyday, but:

  1. He's a shell of his former self.
  2. He's injury prone and still recuperating from a deadly micro fracture surgery. Expected to miss much of the season.
  3. Even if he does play, he's much less into the winning than some of his peers at the same age. He doesn't wish to go far to win it all right now.
  4. He has the reputation of a loser, and backs that up with the inability to lead his team to victory at this point. He wasn't a benefactor of the Rockets at all.

Zydrunas is the absolute opposite of T-Mac at this point. He's healthy, he's productive, he wants to win a championship. He's contributing to a winning cause and has already taken one for the team by coming off the bench. I'd like to see where his mind is at with this before I go any further, but Z is really doing a good thing for the team, as he's special at 7 foot 3, can still produce at a starter's level production-wise, and will be an important sixth man off the bench that not many can deal with.

And even if it would be useful to acquire T-Mac's contract, Z's is expiring too, so it's not like we're saving money. It's addition by subtraction.

:wtf::banghead::huh::banghead::puke::faint:

Z makes 11 million

T-Mac makes around 23 million

:lame: is what this thread is

Would you trade air for being naked all the time? Of course not. Badabing

Unless we would get some kind of CRAZY deal it would be STUPID as hell to trade Z. You know like BOSH.

Z coming off the bench is going to be crazy good. He already holds his own as a starter IMO he is going to have one of his best years in 2009. Playing against second stringers he'll tear it up.
