WWE/NXT/AEW/NJPW Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Hollywood Rock was able to do it and this Rock might be the most motivated and someone who can do it all. Shoot promos on set and stuff. He doesn't have to be there week in, week out. He can literally have a Roman schedule as long as he brings in some of the Samoans to physically fight his battle. That would fit in with the Final Boss character.

This Punk/Drew feud is great.

When was the last time Seth wasn’t on Raw?? Weird

Great way to continue the drew punk feud but FFS stop pushing the jay uso. He was the worst performer in that match. Uso priest is going to be a borefest.

I think him and Becky are taking time off. Well deserved (their contracts are also up soon so they might need to agree to new deals before returning).

Despite the YEET thing being over - and let’s face facts, WWE has conditioned their audiences for more than a decade to only pop for entrances, finishes and easy to chant catchphrases - Jey Uso is not a serious main event guy and never will be.

There’s nothing about him outside of the Bloodline storyline that is particularly interesting in any way. And he’s not a very good singles worker either.

Now WWE would want you to believe he’s over because the crowd reacts to his entrance, but you could have anyone walk out to that song and that easy to chant catchphrase and the crowd would respond.

He will back tagging with Jimmy before the year is over.

He’s become one of the top merchandise sellers for the company. He’s very over with the fans.

I would rather see Solo branch out or see what Jacob Fatu can do in NXT than watch Jey Uso. His ceiling is the midcard/upper midcard. Usos work best as a tag team and honestly the division would benefit from them reuniting

YEET is over. Jey Uso the person/character/worker is not over IMO.
That’s like saying YES was only over and Daniel Bryan wasn’t, or YEAH is only over while LA Knight isn’t. The guy is a big part of it being over too.

And his ring skills are a lot better than LA Knights. The way Knight forgot to sell the leg work AJ was doing in the Mania match was awful. Then I watch Bayley do a perfect leg sell job, even selling as she walked to the back with her newly earned title.
I'm a Jey fan, didn't like his work in the Mania match but he was a huge part of the Bloodline story. He was there from day 1

Daniel Bryan/Bryan Danielson is one of the best wrestlers in the world. Lets not say crazy things here. The Yes this was a movement by the fans and the crowd used it to get Vince to take him seriously. YEET is good but Sami was actually the reason it got over. Not Jey. If it wasn't for Sami and the Bloodline story, Jey wouldn't have been hyped to this level. And after they let the Jimmy/Jey storyline cool off, I think they fumbled the bag.

Yeah is over in a similar way to Yeet but LA is much better than Jey on the mic and they're roughly the same in ring (his match with AJ was a banger). Jey is getting better on the mic I'd say but he's just not as compelling as LA.

Kids love saying YEET, that's a fact. LA Knight is also #2 in merch sales after Cody. Jey is #6 and Jimmy is somehow #8. This is roughly a month old so maybe things changed after Mania.

All that being said, the YES movement was literally one of the biggest things in wrestling. To even try to compare it to YEET is either disingenuous or very misinformed. I'm trying to say this all in the nicest way possible so hopefully you're not offended by any of my word choices but so far in this thread I've agreed with 0 things you've said. I'm shocked when CBBI and I have the same opinion so this is difficult for me :chuckle:

Daniel Bryan is A++ worker on top of having an insanely over catchphrase.

LA Knight is a legitimately very good and charismatic promo guy on top of having an insanely over catchphrase.

Jey Uso is neither of those things. He has a super over catchphrase that kids love and that’s it.

Jey and Jimmy need each other. They aren’t not good as individual wrestlers. I’d even say LA Knight may be worse. Let’s hope with the new era, we focus more on wrestling and not entertaining.
