WWE/NXT/AEW/NJPW Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Mcmahon might not let Reigns win the title but would he let the shield.

Seth said he thought the only way to get Triple H's attention was to win title.

but what if Rollins got Reigns the win as the shield.

Same about Mil. I thought that too during that match. Also thought about how Brian Cage has more wrestling talent in his pinky finger than Roman Reigns lol Dude pulls out new moves every week.

Came in here to talk about 205 Live. I think Austin Aries is what WWE thought they were getting when they put JBL on commentary.

Divari and Gallaher had a great match and Divari is gonna be a top heel on 205 Live.

Gallaher has something special. He connects with the crowd and wrestles a unique style that ppl won't get tired of. Every match he's had iv loved starting with CWC. Glad the WWE scouting dept found him because iv never heard of him

Cage is one of those guys the WWE really dropped the ball on. Granted, he looked nowhere near like he does now when he was with them, but still. Dude can go in the ring, looks like a Vince McMahon wet dream, and has a great gimmick to boot. I love how the fans stomp the Terminator theme when he's in the ring. That's the type of catchy little thing that can get you over. Kind of like how Ryback always had the fans chanting "feed me more" despite being kind of a shitty wrestler (only Cage is good in the ring).

I was getting used to PPV every other week. this break before the rumble is gonna be long .

Maybe Sami zayn uses the monkey technique Daniel Bryan showed him to take out Braun.

Zayn should beat Strowman, or at least brawl with him through a time limit draw.

Owens will beat Reigns, I'm pretty confident in that pick.

I say Rollins beats Jericho because Owens costs him, leading to Jericho/Owens at the Rumble. Maybe HHH jumps Rollins after.

Sasha should win, and move on to Bayley.

Rich Swann should retain. Doesn't make much sense to keep bouncing the title around from guy to guy.

The pick I'd be least confident in is Sasha winning. They've absolutely loved hotshotting that title back and forth between Charlotte and Sasha, and they may want to keep Charlotte's PPV record intact, as the WWE for whatever reason cares tremendously about forcing stupid records like that.

I'm also not sure that Zayn will win. You know Vince loves Strowman, and Raw hasn't had shit for Zayn to do since the brand split. What I wish they had done is set it up so that if Zayn loses, he goes to Smackdown. Then he loses and goes to the show where they might book him right. Also, a Styles/Zayn feud would be amazing.

Zayn needs to win a feud. if surviving ten minutes wins the feud then so be it.

Personally Id like to see Zayn feud with Roman for the Us Title. but it will more likely be Stroman.

Rusev, Cass, Stroman, Zayn, Should all be scrapping over the US Title. its is extremely wasted on Reigns unless they plan to use reigns to put one of these guys over.

I agree if they arent gonna use Zayn then have him drop the 1-8 pounds and rule the Cruiserweight division. or send him to Smackdown.

Zayn won his last major feud against Kevin Owens.

and that means what exactly? the two have been feuding for 20 years? surely Zayns brings something to the table other than Kevin Owens.

should Zayns whole career be based around Kevin Owens?

Zayn and Owens will always be an ongoing feud. Zayne needs some build outside of Kevin Owens

Otherwise that rivalry becomes a joke

You said he needs to win a feud. I said he just won one. That's all.

They could just lie and say he's 205. Not like they weigh in before matches or anything

Still wondering where Neville is in this division and how bad did he fail in his chances that he's not even on TV now?

Dude must have no personality at all

Neville's problem is that, while he's very good in the ring, so are a lot of other people, and he doesn't really bring much else to the table to set him apart.

I agree that they should send him to 205 Live and let them do something with him, though.

Zayn should bet Strowman. It makes no sense for them to focus so much on him demanding these matches, and playing up the underdog card if he's not going to win.

I also think they have made it clear that the Cruiserweight roster is a step below the main roster. Maybe you see Neville drop down, but definitely not Zayn.

I think that once the cruiserweights have been around for a while, assuming the division becomes more popular with the fans, you'll see more guys start to moonlight in the division. Right now it's seen as a step down, but I could easily see it becoming more popular with proper booking and great matches. It's just going to take some time, because most of these guys are totally new to the audience and they've been given little reason to care to this point. Swann has gotten himself over (he got a pretty decent pop in Charlotte when I was there for Raw), so that's a start. Kendrick has done a good job with his character as well. Gallagher looks like he's going to be a star, and his announcement of his intention to interfere in that match on Raw was fucking brilliant. Alexander is another guy who looks like he could be big, especially if he has a few more amazing matches in him like his match with Ibushi. I also like Gran Metalik a lot, although he hasn't had the chance to do anything on the main roster yet as he was finishing up his last independent dates.

Neville should definitely at the very least be a part-timer in the cruiser division. Xavier Woods would be another guy I'd consider sending there, as he's already very over and doesn't wrestle much. He could help prop up the division by being a known name there. If you send a guy like Zayn there, I think he has to basically instantly win the title, because he's a bigger name and has already established himself. For that reason, I'm not sure there's a place for Zayn there, at least not right now. Swann is doing fine with the title, has put on some quality matches, and deserves the chance to hold onto it for a while. Kalisto wouldn't be a bad choice for the division...much better than Sin Cara, at any rate.

As far as Zayn/Strowman goes, I think it goes the distance and the match is ruled a draw. That protects both guys with the option to keep the feud going or to have Strowman grudgingly show some respect for Zayn and move on to a feud with someone else.

just some ramblings
I'm curious .. who is the face of a Owens vs Jericho feud. the last time they feuded as a byproduct of Cenas Injury. Jericho was definitely the face.

I am also concerned about the Rollins Triple HHH story arc. What outside of Rollins helping reigns get the title would get his attention.

I don't suspect either the Rollins nor the Reigns matches will end clean.

Some of the stuff ive been reading suggest that the Owens Jericho falling out is a sustained ploy playing on the expectation of an eventual Owens Jericho rivalry and that Jericho will help Owens at Roadblock.

Jericho had an interview on the law
http://fightnetwork.com/law/nov-6-edition-of-the-law-feat-chris-jericho-bobby-roode/

Jericho talked about the list and changing things to get boos when they catch on with the fans. He also told Vince Mcmahon the list was more over than half the superstars.

Jericho then goes on saying the crowd like to boo roman cause its the cool thing to do and by the end of the match they are usually cheering for him.

Apparently Owens pop up to Jericho codebreaker is being used to get Dash Wilder some twitter love.. dash posted the gif of them doing a similar move. Jericho responded and then Regal popped in.

WWE is taking full advantage of mixing in off camera personalities with promotion works.

On To Orton
"Keeping things new and refreshing at work, like right now I have a new pep in my step, I feel, because I'm working with guys that are fun to work with. This whole angle with The Wyatt Family, I'm really enjoying it. At first, I wasn't quite sure, but now that we're in the middle of it and me and Bray and Luke are tag champs, everything's feeling right. And I get to do what I love to do best and that's be a heel. So each week is a little different. It's not getting stale. Nothing against Sheamus, but it's not working Sheamus every night for six months. It's like, American Alpha, I've been working live events with those guys and Kane against Luke, me, and Bray, and they're just amazing. They're so smooth and they've got that heart that [host Tom Clark was] talking about. It's making me have a little more heart because I'm in there with guys that feel that way and they want to do things and when they're doing something wrong, I tell them and it's not like a conversation that lasts an hour. They get it. Do you know what I mean? So it's yeah."

Looks like Orton just confirmed the Wyatts are freebird champs.

It also looks like Orton will be rebranding himself and his look

"Yeah, [being a part of The Wyatt Family is refreshing]. I almost want to change up my gear, but I'm not quite sure where to go with it. Like, I need to find out who made Bray's stuff. It's kind of like a Baron Corbin-esque like thing he [has] got going on. I should say Baron's got a Bray Wyatt thing going on, but either way, I've been in the same gear for well over a decade. It's cool to see guys kind of evolve and that are always changing things up and I've never been like that. I might introduce a new move here and there or a new attitude here and there, but what I'm starting to realize is the creativity is, there's no limit to it and it can always pull you back if you're not willing to really think about your character and make those changes. And I just really haven't for my whole career because I've always been third generation competitor Randy Orton. Wrestling's in my blood. This is what I do. This is what I was born to do. I've got my own style. Yeah, I don't do flips and s--t, but when it comes down to it, I know how to tell a story and that's what I've tried to get over doing. And being with the Wyatts now, that creativity, I feel a little spark. I feel lighter on my feet, like there's a bounce in my step again working with these guys

Jericho will absolutely be the face in an Owens feud. He's already a borderline face, as the crowd loves him and he has to work every week to turn them against him. He can do it because he's so good, but it will be no effort at all to turn him completely face. All he has to do is finally turn on Owens, give him a Codebreaker, grab a mic, and say, "YOU JUST MADE THE LIST." Easiest turn ever.

It's hard for me to see Reigns winning the title at Roadblock. Vince would have to be insane to try to put both the US and Universal Titles on Reigns. The crowd will shit all over it.

As far as Jericho and Owens go, I think Jericho helps Owens win the title, then turns on him, either at the end of Roadblock or the next night on Raw. Personally, I hope they do it as a mirror of when Owens turned on Zayn in NXT, where they're walking up the ramp with their arms around each other's shoulders and then Jericho throws Owens to the ground and beats him down.
