WWE/NXT/AEW/NJPW Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Did you guys see the New Day, Sasha, Swann post a black excellence picture? now come on, if AJ, Miz, Bliss, etc post a white excellence picture it'll be something major.

Why does people have to make shit about race, why not just pure excellence, we know the story of you're black and shouldn't be here already, jesus.

Anyways there was some criticism and enough for Kofi to post a long message.

It's simple, don't post shit like that in the first place. Should of left black out of their hastag.

Jericho will absolutely be the face in an Owens feud. He's already a borderline face, as the crowd loves him and he has to work every week to turn them against him. He can do it because he's so good, but it will be no effort at all to turn him completely face. All he has to do is finally turn on Owens, give him a Codebreaker, grab a mic, and say, "YOU JUST MADE THE LIST." Easiest turn ever.

It's hard for me to see Reigns winning the title at Roadblock. Vince would have to be insane to try to put both the US and Universal Titles on Reigns. The crowd will shit all over it.

As far as Jericho and Owens go, I think Jericho helps Owens win the title, then turns on him, either at the end of Roadblock or the next night on Raw. Personally, I hope they do it as a mirror of when Owens turned on Zayn in NXT, where they're walking up the ramp with their arms around each other's shoulders and then Jericho throws Owens to the ground and beats him down.
I read somewhere Triple H wont be coming back until the football season ends.

so it looks like we wont see Triple HHH until the rumble or after the rumble.

If Owens vs Jericho is the rumble match. then Rollins would be in play for the rumble as its the only way for him to get back into title contention. Which he believes is the only way to get Triple HH's Attention

That means Reigns most likely wont be in the Rumble as he just had his title shot and he most likely will be defending his U.S Title.

Then its the road to WrestleMania. One factor is does Finn Balor returns for the Rumble or WrestleMania. I'm guessing WrestleMania. I would think though a promo appearance at roadblock would indicate Balor expecting to be ring ready by the Rumble.

Jericho rumored to be going on tour with his band on WrestleMania and apparently his return run was only supposed to be for 4 months.

on the Next front. I can see the Revival going to Smackdown. I think Austin Aries is going to the Cruiserweight division and there has been speculation about Tye Dillinger vs Miz feud since a twitter war erupted
Tye: @mikethemiz could use a slap in the mouth

Miz: We have a much harder ranking system in Hollywood. For instance, an Orlando 10 is an LA 5...Just like @WWENXT 10 is #SDLive 5. #BigLeagues

Tye: Behind the bright lights of Tinseltown hides a boy from the real world..Don't worry Mizzy, if the opportunity arises, I'll make it quick

Miz: Does #Perfect10 stand for the 10 years you've been in developmental? I mean, how long do I have to wait?

Tye: You don't. A simple invite from an IC champ with a set of balls is all that's required...so actually, looks like I'll be the one waiting.

Miz: I've defended the IC Title 3 times against top talent in 2 weeks u should talk to @WWEDanielBryan he likes giving undeserving talent shots

That's two works initiated by NXT talent this week.

I'm not so sure Samoa Joe is an automatic for Smackdown. I am positive that we will see him either at roadblock or The Rumble.

AJ having Dolph Ziggler as number 1 contender is a perfect opportunity for Samoa Joe to make an impact debut on Smackdown but I can also see Samoa Joe Leapfroggin Stroman for a out the gate feud against Roman Reigns.

I really don't see the problem with posting something like that, and I'm white. I understand that others couldn't post a white excellence picture, and perhaps that's a double standard, but I just really don't care.

Seems like creating drama for drama's sake.

I didn't know Sasha was black ....well that completely changes ... nothing.

Society is going through a transition though. there was a time when Minorities needed their accomplishments and achievements highlighted in a racial manner as there was many recognition platforms that ignored the black population.. now after about 30 or 40 years of this its time when racial awareness is not uniting but dividing. This makes for an awkward transition as the values from the baby boomer generation skips generation X and goes straight to a new value set of the millenials

It's just a PR problem and these guys are smart enough to not touch subjects like that on social media, but then again they did it.

I don't care but what I do care about is the double standard aspect of things. They took enough heat on Twitter though.

Eh...it's pretty obviously easier in this country for white people to succeed than black people, so that's where the double standard comes from. Regardless, this seems like something that is being blown completely out of proportion, which isn't shocking given that a decent chunk of the WWE's live crowd audience is white rednecks.

I was a big fan of Demolition as a small kid, I wonder why they let New Day snap that streak, are they really that good? maybe better on the microphone.

They move a shitload of merchandise. I'd wager that's the reason they've held on to the titles for so long. If you can make good money for the WWE, you get to stay relevant.

Not to take anything away from New Day, though. They are pretty good in the ring and obviously cut a great promo.

how Demolition would exactly stop them? The New days has benefited from being extremely popular and profitable. records are meant to be broken. Well deserved for saving the WWE tag team division from the Usos and Primetime players.

Eh...I really do think that Gallows and Anderson should have taken the titles from New Day at some point. It would have livened up the tag division by providing some legitimate competition. Instead, New Day have just ran through everyone to the point where there's really no one left. If Cesaro and Sheamus take the titles from them on Sunday after failing so many times, it'll be really underwhelming.

I hope the Revival appear on the main roster and are the guys to take the titles from New Day at this point, because New Day has made all the other teams in the division look weak by now.

Sheamus and Cesaro have only lost to them a few times though and at least one of those times it was a multi-team match... the other times the New Day won against them they won dirty. I don't think that really devalues Sheamus and Cesaro winning on Sunday, assuming it happens.

Not as keyed in to the UK scene as I was with some of the CWC names, but here's the list of competitors. They've even signed Nigel McGuinness. His wrestling days are behind him, but he could serve a Daniel Bryan type role as an announcer throughout this, and then go coach at the Performance Center.

Competitors for the 16-team tournament include Trent Seven, Pete Dunne, Tyler Bate, Wolfgang, Tyson T-Bone, Tucker, Jordan Devlin, Roy Johnson, Joseph Conners, HC Dyer, Jack Starz, Sam Gradwell, James Drake, Dan Moloney, Chris Tyler, Saxon Huxley, Ringo Ryan and Tiger Ali.

I'm not big on the competitors, but the fact they got Nigel? Nigel, who Id argue is top ten Indy all time, would be absolutely incredible as a manager or an announcer/trainer.

I would pay double network to hear SJK/Nigel/DBry call matches in 205 and UK.

I read they were very interested in bringing him in as a trainer at the Performance Center. Maybe they'll make him the NXT commentator as well and let Graves focus on Raw.
