WWE/NXT/AEW/NJPW Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Seems like the crowd was about 50/50 for/against Reigns in that clip. That seems to be typical of house shows. Raw and PPV shows tend to be a bit more anti-Roman than your average house show, though, and those are the reactions that really matter since everyone sees them.

It's still a problem when half the crowd hates the guy you're pushing as your top babyface, though.

isn't road dog a producer or something?

I think he's one of the head bookers on either Smackdown or NXT now. He replaced Ward on one of those shows. Ward went from NXT to Smackdown, and I think he's now on Raw.

Ward is still head writer for Smackdown. I think he reports to Road dogg.

but this I think represents Vinces take on Roman.... That Reigns is over just some people think its cool to boo him.. Road dogg isn't the first to echo this sentiment.

of course reigns gets cheers for some of his moves

Harper is so over. I'm thinking the AJ botch wasn't a botch at all . they wanted Harper to look like he was getting screwed

It's just nice to see them actually pushing him.
Harper got thrown into a contenders match while he was still with the Wyatts. AJ styles sold him really hard on commentary. so it seems part of the plan.

They really need to trim some guys from the 205 Live roster. Dar and Daivari are just not great in-ring guys. They work a boring style and they're heels who don't get any real heat. I'd drop them along with Kendrick (hasn't done shit since the CWC) and bring in Pete Dunne and Mark Andrews. I'd drop TJ Perkins too (or give him a heel turn), simply because his character just hasn't connected and there are better faces on the 205 roster like Alexander, Tozawa, and Gallagher. I like Mustafa Ali too so far, at least as far as in-ring work goes. He hasn't gotten much character time.

I'm fine with Nese and Gulak. Neither have a ton of personality but they're both good mechanics. You can send them out there to put on entertaining matches and make faces look good and throw them the occasional surprise win to keep them believable.

Dunne is a no-brainer guy to bring in. He's great in the ring and does great heel work. Andrews would provide a great, athletic worker to help liven up the 205 Live matches. I still think his match with Dunne was the best match in the CWC. These guys are under contract anyway...might as well use them. You can always transfer them to the UK show if and when it happens, or trade guys back and forth between that show, NXT, and 205 (provided they are close enough in weight to be cruisers, naturally).

They should also add trios titles. It'd give more of the 205 roster something to do and add a bit more purpose to the undercard.

Does Orton burning down the compound mean no more teleporting in the dark for Bray Wyatt?

I am also wondering how many times Bray Wyatt says Judas next week

It definitely looks like AJ is gonna get bumped from the title match and take on Shane mcmahon

I stopped reading when you said Noam Dar isn't a good in-ring guy. Noam Dar is probably top three-four on all of 205 live. He's not a heel, that's the actual issue.

Watch Progress Chapter 14, Havoc vs Dar.

I have yet to see a match from Noam Dar that impresses me. I'd rank him damn near last of the regular 205 Live guys based on the work I've seen from him. Maybe he was good in Progress, but he's done fuck all in the WWE.

What Dar matches have you seen since he moved to the WWE that impressed you? Because to me, Neville, Alexander, Gallagher, Tozawa, Metalik, Swann, and Nese have all been clearly better. If either Gargano or Ciampo were on the show they'd be clearly better too. Even guys I've soured on like Perkins and Kendrick were at least fantastic in the CWC. Dar hasn't done a damn thing. Hell, he was so unimpressive even in the CWC that I had to actually look it up to confirm he was actually in it because I didn't remember. Apparently he wrestled Sabre and I don't even fucking recall it, and I remember Sabre had great matches with Gulak and Metalik (the latter being one of the better matches of the tournament).

I'd rank him above those two Indian dudes (although I think they've been cut from 205 Live and are solely NXT jobbers now), Daivari (who has been even more bland and forgettable than Dar), and HoHo Lun (who should have been released if he hasn't been already). Maybe Lince Dorado too, but he was also better in the CWC. That's about it. Mustafa Ali is a close one. I think he has more potential than Dar, but he hasn't really been given a chance to showcase himself yet.

By the way, I think my main issue with Dar is that, like Daivari, he works a bland, generic style on a show that has been killed by guys working bland, generic styles. 205 Live should embrace its inner lucha and showcase athletic, flippy matches that separate it from the stuff you see on Raw and Smackdown. What's the point of having a division of lightweights if they wrestle the same fucking style as the heavyweights? 205 Live should feature fast-paced, exciting matches that are different from what you see from main roster matches. And while guys like Gallagher and Gulak don't exactly fit within that mold, they work a highly entertaining style of their own and are more than capable with working great matches with the hyper-athletes like Alexander.

Burning down houses and desecrating corpses are classic face tactics, man.

I was honestly thinking about that today. It's either tweener vs heel/tweener or they are possibly turning Bray face. Or you know just making Bray even more unhinged. I'm good with all of the above. I really did like the segment though. All sorts of cheesy, but in a good way
