Really? I look for deals on it all the time and never find anything. It's always 50. You got to hook me up and tell me where to find good deals on it. I'm assuming you are talking bout a 1 year membership?
Sorry, I paid $40 last time, not $35.

But if you just look on the front page of CheapAssGamer.com, you can get an idea of what deals there are at a given time. I don't think there's any deals on them right now sadly, you just have to be on the lookout a few months before yours expires.

Back on to your bundle dilemma, Target's cartwheel app apparently has 10% off a ps4 until 10/31. So if you were set on the Star Wars bundle, and you could save 10% that way (+5% more if you have a Red Card).

Edit: Nevermind, I didn't realize that bundle wasn't out yet. Sorry for the mistake.

I want to get my brother the Star Wars limited edition Ps4 bundle for Xmas. For 400 bucks, it's not a bad deal. The problem is that he would still need a PS Plus membership. Also, didn't really want Battlefront until it's discounted and comes with the season pass. Also probably needs a headset.

So that is an extra 150 right there. And I need the game to play online with him so tack on an extra 60. Just not sure it is feasible.

A tempting bundle right now is the Uncharted collection Ps4 for 350. I could use that extra 50 to get him a Ps Plus card. I just figured might as well get the Star Wars limited edition if it's just an extra 50, but then all those expenses. There is also a Star Wars bundle exact same minus limited edition console and controller for 350, but once again, what's an extra 50 for the upgrade and best part of the bundle?

If need be, we could probably live without the season pass. It also comes with a crappy headset that will do the job. And maybe someone would get me Battlefront for Xmas. But the PS Plus card is still an extra 50 no matter what.

Thoughts? Will better deals come along?
If your looking to buy now, Best Buy has a promotion where you get Destiny the Taken King with purchase of any PS4. You can go online & purchase the Uncharted Bundle for $350 and get the bonus free game. I know for a fact Destiny (disk copy) came with one free month of PS+, I also believe all new PS4 come with a free trial as well. So you're essentially getting 2 months of PS+ free and an extra free game.....BUY NOW!!

Also if you pre-order star wars you will get a bonus $10 gift certificate about 2 weeks after you purchase the full game.

I also recommend buying the gamers club while you're at it. $30 for two years, all new games are then 20% off. So $47 with tax per new game.

So far I've pre-orderd 2k, Madden, Star Wars, & Destiny.

I paid $30 for the club, and will receive $30 in gift cards for preorders. I paid $188 after tax for all four games. They also have a trade in bonus for 50% trade in. So I traded in Madden for $40.50. I got my Madden itch out without losing too much money ($6 for two months of play).

$188 - $40.50= $147.5 - $30 (GC) = $117.5 for four games this year.

Even if you add back in the $30 for the club, thats only $147 bucks for four games this year. Four games is $240 before tax. The $147 is after tax.

Best Buy Games Club is phenomenal.

Oh and if you sign up for the rewards program you'll get a ton of points for bonus gift cards as well. Then you will even get a multiplier bonus for gamers club unlocked purchases.

Yea, I noticed that deal too. I think it's on Amazon as well. If I did that, I would just sell The Taken King but it's going for lower on ebay than I thought.

Are you talking about GameStop? Doesn't sound too bad but I don't like to buy games from GameStop. I go to Amazon or cheap on ebay later when the price drops.

Its at Bestbuy. Its called Gamers Club Unlocked.

Taken King can be sold just about anywhere for atleast $30. The reason its lower on eBay is because the game is just a disk and codes for the DLC. You would just need to state that in the title.

Just got the limited edition Star Wars bundle off ebay for 350! Bam. There are a couple left if you want to hurry and go get one. They will probably sell really quick and I doubt there will ever be a better deal.

Microsoft is making a new Xbox One that is Xbox 360 compatible. I'm a PlayStation guy, but I have to give Xbox major props for that one. That is sweet.

I really wish PlayStation would do the same thing, except I'd more interested in playing Ps2 and Ps1 games over Ps3 games.

It's just a software patch to the system (basically when you put in a disc of one of the approved games it will not play the data off the disc but will instead download a copy of the game and use that); not a new physical piece of machinery.

As for playing old games on playstation, I'm pretty sure you can buy some of the old games from the Playstation store.

Yea, and it'll only be ~100 games when it rolls out this week, and many are arcade games, not full retail releases.

That's not to poo-poo what they are doing, just Walter is making a bigger leap than what the reality is.

You can but it's not the same. It doesn't matter too much, it would just be convenient. I still have my old ps1 and ps2 and most of the games. I'm not a fan of downloading games on to the Ps4 though, I much prefer physical copies. Mostly because it takes up a lot of space on the system, you can't transfer it to another system like bringing a game to a friend's house, and you can't sell it later if you want.

I thought they were creating an updated new system that was backwards compatible. It's still pretty cool if a download copy will be put on the system. I would guess the number of games available will increase too.

I'm guessing the main reason they don't make every new system backwards compatible is because the games will look that much more crappy on the newer generations in comparison. Ps3 to Ps4 for example is still quite a jump but not too bad. Ps1 on Ps4 however is a huge jump. They would probably prefer to remaster games because that is new money and incentive. They probably don't want to waste a production cost on reading games that are no longer in production.

Somehow I doubt the problem is the difficulty of creating it. I'm sure people have modded systems that play Xbox and Playstation games.

Ah, I didn't realize that you still had the old games. And I'm with you that I prefer physical over digital, although I don't mind digital for smaller indie games.

It's about the cost of having to include the guts of the old systems to be able to read and play those old games. The added is not worth it to them (if they tried to sell it at the same price and lose more money) or most consumers (if they raised the cost of the system).

I doubt many people have the old games and old systems anymore or even care to play it. I think quite a few still play last gen's games though. I don't really pay attention, but I think Ps3 and 360 games are still in production. So enough people still buy them.

I still have LA Noire, Red Dead Redemption, and Uncharted 3 in my backlog. Its tough to get to everything lol.
