Yahoo: Nets moving closer to deal for Anthony

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I would hope we push hard for melo even if its unlikely. Even if he dont sign an extension RIGHT AWAY, we would have a yr to show and prove we can and will win and the top-notch organization we have. Shit i throw them anything other than jj and boobie.

This is carmelo we talking here. I wish this melo situation can get situated ASAP where ever he ends up

great idea an unmotivated melo for one year who would leave us after the season with even fewer assets left on the roster than before

I hope this report is inaccurate, but anyways

I doubt the report is right in the way the Cavs are going all out to get Melo. I was under the impression by other reports that the Cavs/Pacers were going to be a third or fourth team used to get the deal done.

i've already said it on twitter that's just horrible journalism by nbc. they refer to that fanhouse article which basically says that we could be a partner in a multi-team trade but doesn't mention us having any interest in getting melo and what do those nbc clowns report: we are making hail-mary offers to denver....cmon

I just wanna know what the hail-mary offer was for Melo we gave them

As *L-Train* basically pointed out, it is poor journalism by NBC Sports. Windy already stated the Cavs and many other teams have been contacted by Denver to be a third wheel to a trade.

I think Lebron is helping Melo out with the process.......Melo said he's keeping his options open and he would love to stay in Denver......sound familiar

You'd have to give up Andy, and this team needs Andy to win in Scott's system. It doesn't make sense to rent Melo for a year when we have no shot at the title.

I think if the cavs are making a huge push for Melo, I wonder how confident they are in Scott's relationship with Paul and his potential availabilty. I know, it's a stupid thought but I couldn't help it. :)

You have to look at that possibility bcuz he did get Cp3 to convince Lebron to stay although it didnt work but i think Scott could lure to Cleveland we did somehow acquire Melo

Jamario Moon will at least make me laugh. Fuck Melo.

Id take melo, if he committed long term which he won't. I was at the game in Cleveland and he pretty much did whatever he wanted against Lebron.

This is really great and sucks at the same time. 1) There is no telling if Denver is willing/going to make this deal. 2) There is no telling if we can get in this deal and 3) What are the legitimate odds that we can get Derrick Favors and give up only Andy and maybe another player from us?

Just to be clear, we're likely getting into this to get NOT Melo, but perhaps draft picks or young players, correct?

Just seen on ESPN's bottom line........Nuggets wont do 4 team trade to Nets because they would have to pay 9.6 million extra this season........they are looking at Stephen Curry or Andre Igoudala as possible return pieces in trade
