Looik, this is a new CC. This is a new ARod. The games are heading back to Yankee Stadium. The Angels don't stand a chance. Who has Johnny Damon here? That's right. The Yanks are a lock here, and if I was a true Yankee fan, I would be buying scalped World Series tickets now, regardless of markup, because they will only go up higher once the Yanks finish off the Angles tomorrow night.

You're probably right...

but the Yankees blew a 3-0 lead to a Red Sox team in 2004, when everyone thought the same things you're thinking now.

It's not out of the question that the Angels make a comeback, it probably won't happen, but anything is possible.

I just bought my world series tickets.. That's how confident I am...Looking forward to the game tonight, if we can get it in... It's raining off and on here and just by the looks of it, it's not looking all that promising..

Nonetheless, I'll bundle up and be ready to celebrate tonight... I've been to a ton of Yankees home clinchers before, but nothing in the new stadium obviously... Looking forward to it...

I encourage you all to celebrate as well... You all know a Yankees vs Phillies world series would be more fun to watch than Phillies vs Angels...
 
I usually just hate the yankees...but i cant seem to hate this years team. CC is their best pitcher, and I still like cc, and the usual arogance isnt there All the other pitchers in the rotation are home grown. Jeter is a class act, even if he is a yankee...and Mariano is also a great player.

Also, I like that ARod is having a monster post season. Most annoying yankee fans cant stand him, and i would just love it if they have to admit he carried them some in the post season. It would be hilarious to me.
 
I would like nothing more than the Angels to come back and destroy Fatboy Sabathia in Game 7 in New York.
 
Pip, why are you disappointed by the hate? If anything, there isn't enough hate in this thread. I mean God damn it dude, you made a premature thread on whether Cleveland fans would prefer a team OTHER than the Tribe to win two straight or for the Yankees to be world champs. Not only is it blatantly obvious that we want the lesser of two evils, but any one from NE Ohio that loves the Tribe also sees Yanks fans as huge prickish frontrunners.

If you don't come from New York (and even in New York, root for the Mets) and you root for the Yankees, FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK YOOOOOOOOOOOOU!

Oh, and isn't Seize one of the Laker fans here? Did he seriously come in here rooting for the New York Yankees? Despicable.

What would me being a Laker fan have anything to do with the Yankees? :dunno:

Anyways, I am not rooting for the Yankees. I don't really like baseball...I only watch because it's the only sport on this time of year. Yankees look good and A-Rod, the supposed anti-clutch is playing out of his mind. They just look almost unstoppable at times.
