Yi Signs With Bucks

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Source: Yi Guaranteed At Least 20 Minutes Per Game

ESPN The Magazine - 09/04 - 7:13 PM EST

Herb Kohl publicly downplayed his role in last week's signing of Yi Jianlian, the Chinese star Milwaukee selected No. 6 in June's draft against Yi's wishes, but only personal guarantees by Kohl on how Yi will be handled ended the stalemate, a source intimately familiar with the negotiations said.

Those guarantees, according to the source, include Yi averaging more than 20 minutes per game and possibly as many as 25. Only such an assurance by Kohl eased concerns that with coach Larry Krystkowiak facing his first full season and GM Larry Harris under pressure to win now to keep his job, Yi would spend much of his rookie year on the bench

The Maximus over/under line on him remaining a Buck is 18 months...

They had to bribe him.... :thisguy:

Ah yes, the sources. These are the same "sources" that claimed Yi would never play for the Bucks. Lol.

Eazy-Yi will dunk on heads while sporting the Green and Gold. The Bucks will be eligible to don an alternate uni next season. I expect it to be predominantly "Redd".

Hey Max, in 18 months Z, Marshall, and Eric No will be eligible for social security.

The Bucks own the 19 year old Yi for the next 5 years...well beyond Cleveland's championship window (already closed by the KG/Allen moves).

:chuckles: Of all the idiotic things you've ever posted here, this may take the cake. Congrats young TJ. Much needed comic relief from you, as always.

I'm glad we've been able to expand this over 2 sports...

He came in here talking about the Jr Circuit or what not when we played in Milwaukee...boy that was funny. They had won like 6 games at that point and he thought they were going 132-30 :chuckles:

Funny how things work out...AGAIN

Going into the 08 season, Fatt Donny and ESnow will be 14M of expiring contracts. So there is a less than 5% chance of them being on the Cavs in 18 months....so about the same chance as Yi playing 5 years for the Bucks.
