That's rough...being told by Yi that you're not good enough for him to play for you :chuckles: If only Andrew Bogut did the same they could have one of the two PG's Deron Williams/Chris Paul...instead of a Center that hates contact and throws up massive 10 and 8 numbers...

That's what you get for tanking though..it's one thing to be bad like the Cavaliers were in 2002-2003 with Bimbo Coles..Diop..Darius Miles..Tyrone Hill and etc...but it's another to have the talent they did and just purposely shelf guys for anything worse than a tummy ache.

Redd Bogut Villanueva were basically all told after December 9th to begin the offseason early..

The Bucks won’t have the luxury of checking out Yi Jianlian one more time before Thursday night’s NBA draft.

But that doesn’t mean the Bucks still won’t select the highly-regarded Chinese power forward.

It was reported in four days ago that Bucks officials were having trouble arranging a workout with Yi, who figures to be one of the top eight players chosen in the draft.

Friday, Dave Babcock, the Bucks' player personnel director, confirmed the Bucks have been rebuffed in their attempts to meet with Yi in Los Angeles, apparently because Dan Fegan, Yi’s agent, and the Chinese government want to get him placed in a large market, preferably with a large Chinese population.

If he's looking for a large chinese market he should just wait until 09 when the Bucks are forced to relocate to China Town in NYC..

Milwaukee just took Yi Jianlian at No. 6 even though they weren't on his list of acceptable cities because of its lack of a Chinese population … or for that matter, any population other than good-natured, heavyset Caucasians who enjoy dark beer and fried food. This is gonna end badly. You'll see Brett Favre booed at Lambeau before you see Yi putting on a Bucks uniform.

5:08: Yi's interpreter-less interview with Stu Scott wins the ESPY for "Best impersonation of Andre the Giant by a Chinese guy" and "Biggest lock to be turned into a YouTube clip by at least 500 different people." Although you have to admire him for doing it. I'm starting to come around on Yi -- the thought of him shoveling out his car in minus-10 degree weather in January while fighting back tears and screaming, "Why????? Why?????" in Chinese is delightful for some reason. Too bad they'll trade him. If the Chinese government can torture Jack Bauer for two years, it can definitely break the Bucks.
