The winner of the RCF Fantasy Basketball league has a lifetime club card. Hopefully, for your sake, the Cavs don't fall back like that choking fantasy team of yours. The Invisible Woman couldn't disappear fast enough.

So, did you see the Yi videos that Maximus posted? :king:

I must admit when he backed down that 5'9" white guy I was impressed.

Re: Yi To Bucks: No

First off, it is the Bucks.. So something is bound to go wrong..

I think Yi has some game..However, I do think he's going to struggle with the quickness early on in the NBA.. He's gonna have to play PF in the NBA, as I don't think he's as quick as Dirk, or even Bargnani to play the 3..And he's nowhere near a perimeter defender from everything I saw..

Hopefully for the Bucks sake, they finally got it right..Bogut is a bust.. For a team with that many injuries, Bogut should have flourished, instead, he simply sulked and cried all season about this or that.. They should move him..

My problem with the pick is that it's a temporary selection.. His representatives clearly don't want him there, and he didn't seem to overly thrilled once he got picked there.. I don't think he'll be moved or anything, but I certainly don't see him staying there, especially if he performs well... If he's another bust like Bogut, and there's no hype on him ? I can see him playing there... But, if Yi does blow up, I don't think there's any question that he's gone once it's up..

If I was the Bucks, I would have strongly considered moving the pick for the Sixers 12/21 picks.. Al Thornton is a player I thought would have been absolutely perfect for the Bucks.. He's now in a bad situation with the Clippers (they take another PF )..

He looks thrilled to be going to Milwaukee..:chuckles: (Summerfest baby!!!!)

Yi was easily the 3rd best player in this draft. To get him at 6 was an absolute steal. You're smoking some of Ohio's finest sticky icky if you think Dirk and Bargnani are quicker and more athletic than Yi. Just stop with that. Yi will be a perenial allstar...and not just on the strength of China's vote.

As far as Yi being unhappy? FALSE. Yi's agent and Nike are trying to spin strife but the Bucks aren't hearing it. He WILL NOT be traded. Here's some reporting directly from China to clear up your misconceptions:

Hello Buckies, newly registered bandwagoner and first time poster here, glad to meet y'all.

Before you ask, yes I am Chinese; No, that wasn't my picture, you horny bastards! She's a big celeb in China (and over 18 ).

I've been lurking here since yesterday, and I think there is one misconception about Yi I can help clear up.

Some media have reported Yi didn't look happy at all during the ESPN draft interview and he even looked pissed on the stage. That's not true. He was just too nervous and too exhausted. Right after the draft, he gave an interview with Chinese media via satellite. In his own words:

http://sports.sina.com.cn/k/2007-06-29/10243008548.shtml

Q: Everybody's saying you will be traded, where do you want to go?
A: So far I don't know (such things), it's handled by my agent.

Q: After you were picked by the Bucks, you didn't look too happy. Which team do you think fits you most?
A: No, it's not that I was unhappy, it's just I was very nervous at that moment. Plus I was a bit surprised too! Actually it's doesn't matter which team pickes me, my only dream is just to play in the NBA.
(For being able to realize this deram) I'd like to thank CBA, they allowed me two months extra time to prepare for the draft ...

...

Q: What went through you mind when your name was called?
A: At first surprise, then nervous. When I got on the stage, my facial muscle went numb and my mind went blank.

Q: Are you ready to face the onslaught of doubting and questioning?
A: Now that I've joined the NBA, I need to be prepared for all aspect of things, psychological ones as well as physical ones. And I think I will get better and better in the process, and stronger too.

...

Q: One hour ago you were outside the doors of NBA, one hour later you are inside. Any changes in your feelings?
A: Very uneasy and overly nevours beforehand; When it happened and I was on stage I felt numb and exhausted.

Re: Yi To Bucks: No

A healthy Bobby Simmons was recently on local radio and was asked if the Bucks now had enough "stuff" to take out Cleveland (a reference to the recent selection of Yi). Bobby's quote, "Of course....I'll be back".

The gauntlet has been thrown down.

That's like asking Ira Newble if he thinks he can help us get past San Antonio next year. Bobby Simmons :chuckles:

Didn't he get hit with a lawsuit for calling himself 50 and selling t-shirts and shit..Remember when LeBron lit you guys up that game for 50+? And you had "Bobby Simmons: LeBron Stopper" as your user title :thisguy:

Re: Yi To Bucks: No

This is the same guy that said Bogut was going to be a star..

Ban, for what???

I just provided your board with some valuable insider information concerning the Yi misconceptions as well as a quote from your divisional foe. This kind of sentiment is why Cav fans are being labeled as Homers.

Bogut is only 22. He will be one of the top centers in the east for many years to come. I expect him to breakout under new coach Larry Kryskowiak. He won't give the Bucks Duncanesque numbers, but a solid 15/10/4 will work just fine for us. Hard to say what his numbers will project out to be until free agency is over and the style of play is made known.
