I was looking back over the schedule and here's a very sobering thought.
The last four losses the Cavs had were:
(1) @ Utah, lost by 1 (it took a last second desperation three from an NBDL rookie for Utah to pull it out)
(2) @ Denver, lost by 2 (the Cavs held a 3pt lead with 1:35 to go and then their defense fell apart... how often does THAT happen???)
(3) vs Charlotte, lost by 3 (the Cavs played with ZERO heart this game and even so the game was tied with 1:00 to go)
(4) @ Dallas, lost by 7 (... to a Nowitzki-less Mavs team.... WTF???)
In other words, those were 4 games they should have won but that they let get away.
IF the Cavs had played like they should have, we're not in here talking about a 10-game winning streak. We're talking about a
29-game winning streak with the chance to extend it to 33 games while they're still at home!
Think about that for just a minute. This team had a
realistic chance to be sitting on a 29-game winning streak. As it is, they've won 8 in a row without their starting PG and 2nd leading scorer... and 7 in a row without their back-up PG and 2nd best all-around player.
No matter how you slice it,
this team is DEEP and DAMN GOOD!
