i really want to know the story behind this...guy must have been pissed at something.

WHY are you so negative? You should ENJOY watching a great team play. If not, why not just come back here in June, I mean why waste your time if you don't care??

I have season tickets, and my seven year old is a HUGE Cavs fan, he has been to 18 of the games so far this year and even if we are up by 25 pts with 2 minutes to go he will not let us leave the game, he has to see EVERY minute. I guess My main point is it is much more fun to be 7 :) And to enjoy the ride.

As for homecourt...I don't think it is that important this year. In fact I want the Lakers to get home court for the finals, because I really see us winning in 5 games and I want to go to 3 home games in the finals. And to be honest I would prefer to play the Lakers instead of the Nuggets...that is just me though.

How the fuck is that negative?

Look at the rep I got for that post. Clearly most people saw it for what it was: an acknowledgment that this team has nothing more to prove in the regular season and that the rest is just waiting for the real show to start.

Get with it. If I had tickets to every game and lived right there, I would go too. There is nothing left to prove though from October to April. Plain and simple.

I'd like to see another victory over Boston and the Magic, and other playoff teams like the Bobcats, before the season is over.

I'd also like to see Lebron James and his gang play the game of basketball. I'm savoring it.

Don't really care at this point. I'm ready for the playoffs. I saw this show last season.

I TOTALLY agree- the long, storied histories of Cleveland professional sports franchises, dotted with future HOFers, epic seasons, and multiple championships, makes me more than ready to completely ignore a team playing top-flight basketball and just yearn for the playoffs.

Here is a hint- enjoy the journey. Not just the one that put out megahits in the 80s, but the one going one right now with the Cavs steamrollering the NBA and playing dominating basketball. Enjoy every game you get to see the best basketball player on earth. Enjoy watching a Cleveland sports team dominate. Quit bitching about what they aren't, or don't have, or didn't have, or will have- but enjoy the team now. And then when they get to the playoffs in a few months, enjoy it some more.

Good point, Shak, I'd like to see this team vs Boston again and Orlando at least once. I am looking forward to those games.

The only person bitching is you about a comment I made that tons of people apparently agree with.

Well, you and that other guy.

Never mind that I said nothing about "ignoring" the team. Because I'd be on RCF for hours at a time if I were ignoring the Cavaliers... There is really no excuse for people to make such dim posts, honestly.

Don't really care at this point.

Did I miss something?

Enjoy the ride. I watched this team at its' worst- they existed before LBJ, I swear- and I will NEVER get sick of watching this team kick ass in the regular season. That isn't boring, that isn't something not to care about. It isn't meaningless, watching a team that has fit in 3 new key players as it rounds into form to contend for a title. Simple as that. And when the postseason comes, enjoy it then.

Maybe I used the wrong words because you really aren't getting what I'm saying.

I enjoy watching the Cavs kick ass.

And hey, asshole, you're not the only one who has been a Cavs fan before LeBron? Aight? Let's get that out there. Thanks, carry on.

Didn't I say guys? DIDN'T I?!

Deep roster. So deep that they can lose 3-4 key guys and STILL play at a high level.

TABLE ALERT:
Shaq O'Neal|J.J. Hickson|King James|Anthony Parker|Jawad Williams
Zydrunas Ilgauskas|Andy Varejao|Jamario Moon|Danny Green|-----
-----|Darnell Jackson|-----|-----|Cedric Jackson
Look how much we're missing. Boobie, Delonte, Mo, AND Leon, a true worst case scenario, yet we're plugging away and killing teams JUST 'cause we can! This team could kick the collective asses of the 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002, 2001, and 2000 (for good measure) with just the guys available we have. They're stronger than all those rosters. Just wait until we're full power, we'll be even better. HA!

Really no need for the name calling is there?

I get the part about not needing to prove anything and the playoffs are when it really starts. It was the part about "not caring" that I, well the "other guy" to you, was getting at. You did use some of the wrong words, it is no big deal though.

No matter how good we get I enjoy the hell out of stomping a team by 25 points, especially the other "good" teams.

*shrug*

He made a douche comment, I call it how I see it. Maybe I took it the wrong way and he wasn't inferring anything but...probably not. I think it's important that he be informed that he is not special and that there are many people who grew up watching the Cavaliers pre-LeBron.

And no, it isn't a big deal. Like I said, the rep on that post shows me what I wanted to see.

But this season has bonus episodes like

Andy Nails A Clutch 3
JJ Hickson Catches Ball, Dunks on Wade
Howard Tastes Shaq's Ass
Cavs Massacre Lakers at Home
Shaq Kisses a Baldwin
Cavs Rape Lakers Without 2nd Leading Scorer
Gibson Keeps Shooting...and They Go In!

Bet you didn't see those episodes last year.

I didn't see this post, Power, good one. The Lakers episodes and the Magic have been pretty exciting. But they are part of the reason I don't think we have much if anything left to prove here.

I'm happy we are winning games at a tremendous clip...but can we fast forward already to playoff time?

The Cavs today remind me of the Indians of the Nineties (hopefully with a different result in terms of championships), we all watch the games because they are a winner...but we know we are going to be in the playoffs, not too much drama there- the real excitement will be months later.

NEGATIVE NANCY!!

BLASPHEMEY!!!!!

:chuckles:

I was looking back over the schedule and here's a very sobering thought.

The last four losses the Cavs had were:

(1) @ Utah, lost by 1 (it took a last second desperation three from an NBDL rookie for Utah to pull it out)
(2) @ Denver, lost by 2 (the Cavs held a 3pt lead with 1:35 to go and then their defense fell apart... how often does THAT happen???)
(3) vs Charlotte, lost by 3 (the Cavs played with ZERO heart this game and even so the game was tied with 1:00 to go)
(4) @ Dallas, lost by 7 (... to a Nowitzki-less Mavs team.... WTF???)

Pretty crazy when you think that the lost to Dallas was in December prior to our Christmas beatdown of the Lakers. On topic it is tough to fully enjoy this season because we have the thoughts of last year in the back of our mind. We can roll through the regular season (and we need to do that to make sure we get the number one seed throughout the Finals) but the thought of this being another "damn we came up short again" season sucks. I just wish the playoffs would start tomorrow.
