You think I have problems

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: You think we have problems

And I'm not proclaiming LeBron is not a great player.. But, when Barney pounces on the create thread button just to take a quote from Wade and try to sell it as something it's not, then there's a problem...

LeBron hasn't shown any real type of consistent leadership throughout his career... Just like W&G said, he's more prone to be influenced than to influence others... And he was dead on..

If we were playing a game 7 today, right now within the next hour, I'm taking Wade without hesitation ...Shaq or no Shaq..

Re: You think we have problems

aain I am not disagreing that I want his leadership to change as well

but can you admit that maybe Wade has learned a thing or two from the Big fella about how to lead a team....or how about the fact that no matter what Wade does Shaq has his back 100% and Shaq is basically the leader to the entire NBA

Wade can say or do anythign he wants...hen you have Shaq in your corner like that it affects the situation is all I am saying

game 7 you take wade??? why...I take LeBron and hoefully he doesnt have to p[lay 1 on 5 like he did against the Pistons...LeBron in the playoffs is a beast...lets not forget how he dragged a lesser team in te Cavs to a missed rebound away from playing the same Heat in the ECF....The Pistons were done before they even played the Heat....

now if we could only get LeBron to play now like he does in the playoffs...that is our problem right now....and that is where I give Wade an edge maybe....but LeBron is every bit as intense and leading during the playoffs as Wade....LeBron just needs to get that attitude during the regular season

Re: You think we have problems

Jorge-

Wade was leading his team in the playoffs in his rookie year before Shaq got there.. He hit game winners, and got to the 2nd round as a rookie... Wade took a Marquette team that was off the map, single handedly put them on the map, and lead his team to a final four..

I think his pre leadership skills without Shaq are just fine...

Now, I'm not naive enough to believe that Shaq doesn't make a difference, obviously a player of that caliber is a major crutch... But, I'm taking nothing from Wade... The guy is a true baller.. And like he said, he leads by example..

If LeBron is going to follow with that approach, what is his example he's setting ? miss FT'S and not worry about it, turn it off or on when he wants (like playoff 'Bron as you point to) and just not worry about anything at any time regardless of the scenario ?

Not following that lead...

The George said:
Pip if you were half as hard on Wade as you are on LeBron I think you would be singing a different tune

Bingo.

With LePip, our guys can do no right while their guys can do no wrong. If LeBron said exactly the same quote Wade said while we were 5 games under .500, LePip would be ripping him to shreds. Instead, he's defending Wade.

And if LeBron had Shaq the last two years, we'd be working on title #3.

And Wade, that rookie year, was such a "leader" that their coach sat him on the bench as their playoff fate was decided.

And what has wade done this year without Shaq? They have Alonzo filling in - he's playing at near all star level. They have Haslem, giving them roughly the same as Drew. They have Kapono shooting the lights out (.545 from 3). They have a real PG in Jason Williams (who missed a few games). Where is Wade? 5 games below .500, losing by 20 to the knicks, and currently sitting in the lottery.

Somehow I don't think you would be as tolerant of LeBron letting his team fall apart like that as you are of Wade.

Re: You think we have problems

Ahh, the old tired rookie season argument.

Eddie Jones 17.3 PPG
Lamar Odom 17.1 PPG, 4.1 APG, 9.7 RPG
Dwayne Wade, 16.2 PPG, 4.5 APG
Rafer Alston, 10.2 PPG, 4.5 APG
Caron Butler, 9.2 PPG
Brian Grant, 8.7 PPG
Udonis Haslem, 7.3 PPG
Rasual Butler, 6.8 PPG

He was the THIRD leading scorer on a deep team, and yet they only won 42 games. Not bad I guess considering they only won 25 the year before when they were coached by PAT RILEY... but imagine if LeBron joined a Cavs team with talent like that.

Re: You think we have problems

Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrr we're not talking about stats' JVA, we're talking about his leadership, and if that's a direct reflection of Shaq...

Wade's a proven winner... LeBron's a stat guy thus far, that's about all he's proved in the league with the exception of a cup of coffee in the playoffs.....The only person that always goes with the "no wrong" approach is you... Hypocrisy at it's finest...

They don't make the playoffs without Wade, they don't win the first round without Wade.

Are you kidding me ? The Heat's roster has been a mess all season.. Again, they've played their starting lineup twice, and both were without their coach..And what has LBJ done with an easier schedule, more games played, and a much more stable situation with the roster and coach ? Nothing... He hasn't taken advantage of anything that was handed to him this season.. He used the tired leg excuse just like the rest of them... Hmm, Wade played more playoff games, had the same summer schedule, had oral surgery done a month ago, and I have not seen any excuses yet....

Well, we'll see.. His team is currently falling apart, and I've just been sooooooooooooo impressed with how he's handled it...

02-03 - 17 wins
03-04 - 35 wins
04-05 - 42 wins
05-06 - 50 wins - MVP runnerup

just stats, huh?

who.the.f.cares We suck too.

The heat will end up with a better record than us this year.

Are you kidding? The excuses started for Wade being fatigued before the season even began.

Re: You think we have problems

You know I never do this and I hate doing it, but Pip is right.

This team has no heart. No pride. No character. No desire. No drive. No nothing.

That a result of leadership.

This team lacks leadership. They aren't hungry, they aren't busting their butts every game.

How many parties has D Wade hosted this year? I know there are atleast 10 you can count with Lebron hosting parties on game nights, the night before a game and the majority of them are on the damn road.

We need somebody that will step up and kick somebody's ass if they step out of line.

We need some guys to care.

Cleveland has never been to the Finals. We haven't been to the Conf. Championship since what? 93? 92? We have been in the playoffs once in the last 9 nine years.

You guys havent accomplished AJKSFHJKSAHF. Just because you got to the second round means you feel you can coast and say, ahh..we will be ok.

There isnt anything guaranteed in the NBA.

A perfect example...he let your avg joe player Andre Iggy, on the second night of a back to back, both on the road, come into his house and dominate him. Even worse, Lebron cared so much about stopping him that he didn't fight through a single screen the entire night. He was getting hit and just taking it. On the final play, he could have won the game for us on defense, but he chose to get hit again on D and say screw it and hopefully Z bails me out and gets a block or can contend the shot he had no HEART to try to stop.

Until this team gets some real leadership, I can never see us winning the finals. Lebron certainly isnt capable of leading us there.

Re: You think we have problems

And LJ, you putting that quote in your sig like it's supposed to knock Wade, is laughable. It shows you have never played and don't really understand basketball.

If you are a PLAYER, you are a SELF-MOTIVATOR. If you need someone else to get you ready to play, you shouldn't be playing.

That's a qoute from a famous coach, look it up.

Re: You think we have problems

THing is the heat arent a good team without shaq, they arent a playoff team without shaq, yet all the praise goes to wade.

Kobe has shown that he is the real deal, no shaq and the lakers are legit. My hats off to the rapist.

was there not heart game 6 in detriot??? I think there was. But in no way am I excusing the fact of all the parties bron has been to, that pisses me off. a stern coach like Silas would not let that happen.

the past has nothing to do with the current situation. We TRUE Cavs fans know damn well if mj wasnt playn the Cavs would have been the team of the 90's.

Re: You think we have problems

The heat lose again tonight, are now 2 games out of the playoff picture. But I guess they don't have more problems than we do.

Re: You think we have problems

And this team has plenty of heart. You don't rally from 20 point deficits time after time without heart. They showed heart Friday night, they've showed heart many, many times this season.
