Your 2018 Cleveland Indians

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Pretty sure that dude Jayddwhatever is the one that apparently has it out of ole AZ and he just coming back from a vacation, so he's looking to make his stay a short one it looks like. :chuckle:

And "ole jayddwhatever" doesnt have it in for anyone on here. Its all just friendly banter. All in good natured fun. Just a litte harmless disagreeing from time to time. That is all.

I was looking at some of the Indians splits vs. LHP.

OPS in parentheses, Lindor (1.052), Gomes (.999), and Jose (.908) are all crushing LHP. Kipnis is surprisingly hitting well (.797) and Guyer is doing well too (.864)

3 of our best 5 hitters are not hitting LHP well, which was to be expected from Alonso (.632), but definitely not EE (.657) nor really Brantley (.659)

I imagine he'll be optioned today, if it has not happened already, but I hope the Indians can soon find a spot for Yandy to remain up indefinitely. As the roster stands now he'd be a nice fit to play at 3B when the Indians want to rest/sit Kipnis, DH or play some 1B when the facing LHP, or get some PH work. I'm sure he'll get a nice chunk of playing time come September, maybe the Indians value him getting consistent ABs in Columbus in the meantime.

Must have been an honest mistake.

The other five posts he disagreed with were all mistakes, too.

Spamming disagrees and yada yada, good to have him back. We all value his opinion on who is garbage, who sucks balls and how terrible everything is.

Wow, so much venom towards me. Yeesh. You do this to so many people that you just mesh them all together. I do not get on here and say any of the stuff you just said. Thats complete bullshit. See, what i dont get about you is, if im such a horrid poster, then just click ignore like a couple of your bros did? But if you do that, then you cant leave comments like you just left.
As for the 5 other disagrees, my eyesight is bad and my keyboard on my device is pretty small, so my mistake.

Spamming disagrees. Now thats rich. You lead the world in diasgrees. Nobody can even debate that topic.

The average quality of post in this section was exponentially better before a couple new guys decided to start posting in here this season...

It shouldn't be so hard to provide value.

In an ideal world, the Tribe would have Diaz DH and Edwin play 1B against a LHP, but I'm not sure they'd be willing to sacrifice an extra outfielder or reliever to make room for Yandy on the 25 man roster.

If you can acquire an everyday guy to plug into CF or RF they could make it happen. While we're running platoons out there, you're right, we can't spare the roster spot.

We're carrying 14 position players at the moment, that isn't likely to last.

Erik Gonzalez has played pretty well this year but has only managed 93 ABs, the Indians may value Yandy getting consistent ABs. Can't see them carrying both until the rosters expand

I'd say both of them have been above average this year. Rajai is a better player than Billy Hamilton IMO

I don't see the point in acquiring somebody unless they provide a significant upgrade at the plate.

I don't know, every defensive metric has Hamilton as one of the best CF's around. I can't find anything outside of a small sample size this year to show Rajai's above average, and I can't find anything at all to say Allen's above average.

I only pointed to them being above average this year, nothing more, although Allen projects to be very good out there based off his minor league track record.

I know Hamilton is an outstanding defensive player, but overall I'd say we'd be better off putting Rajai in CF as an everyday player than Hamilton. And I think I've shown myself to be no fan of Rajai Davis :chuckle:

I'd be willing to take Kiermaier and his entire contract off Tampa's hands. He'd be fantastic in CF behind our elite pitching, and in today's fly ball era, I think that's a huge asset. Assuming Tampa won't move him, I'd kick the tires on Pillar getting healthy, and then Hamilton. I really think they're all significant upgrades over Davis/Allen at this point.

Although, if Zimmer were healthy, I wouldn't even bother with any of them
