With all of this offseason nonsense talk, I figured a lighter thread looking back at the past could serve a purpose. So, please feel free to share your all-time favorite Cavs games that you were in attendance for. You can also throw in a little story with it, too.

3. 2006 Playoffs, Game 1 vs. Washington Wizards

The team's first playoff game in nine years and LeBron James' first ever playoff game. The energy was crazy entering the building. The workers at the gate were passing out the now-famous Witness t-shirts along with rally towels. I was extremely nervous until I realized that in the most hyped game of his career, LeBron showed not intentions of going home a loser. He dominated from the opening tip, scoring 32 points to complement his 11 boards and 11 assists, becoming the first player since Magic Johnson in 1980 to record a triple double in his first playoff game. The place was rocking and I finally got to attend my first playoff game

2. 2007 Playoffs, Game 4 vs. Detroit Pistons.

After going down 0-2 to the Pistons in the playoffs for the second straight year, I told myself I wouldn't bother spending money on tickets unless the Cavs won game three. Well, after a solid performance there, I made sure to get my seats and witness a game that was not only exciting at the time, but was the precursor to one of the greatest playoff performances ever. Game four was a hard fought win for the Cavaliers that only saw them win by four points. LeBron had 25 points and 11 assists as he geared up to drop 48 on the Pistons in the following game. Excitement was everywhere and everyone was thinking Finals after this night.

1. 2006-07 Regular Season vs. Boston Celtics.

Okay, so two exciting playoff games, but my favorite game was a regular season game versus the then-weak Celtics? Well, I'll never forget this game.

I went to the game with one of my best friends from school, who happens to be a huge Celtics fan (yeah, this would come back to bite me in the ass the following season). So I bought some sweet club-level seats for this early regular season game, hoping I could rub it in his face that whole week. The Cavs had other plans, though, as they lost the first quarter by 15 points. He was smiling the whole time while I was grinding my teeth watching Drew Gooden and Larry Hughes ruin my night.

The Cavs continued the shit play as they entered the fourth quarter down 16 points. One and a half minutes in, the Celtics scored the only three points of the quarter and increased their lead to 19. My friend was clapping in my face and the family in front of us got up and left (which pissed me off since I never leave a game early, especially not with seats like this, but the joke was on them that night).

Then, things started to change. LeBron was attacking the hoop, converting and-1's, drawing fouls, making plays. Sasha Pavlovic was hitting bigtime jumpers and three pointers. My friend would later tell me that when Sasha hit his second three of the quarter to pull the Cavs within one with four minutes to go that he knew it was over (and he swears to this day that Sasha is a good NBA player :chuckles:). The Cavs stormed back to take a lead, although they left the door open and Paul Pierce almost hit a half court shot in the final seconds to steal the game back. I enjoyed the drive back home with complete silence while my friend had to hear my countless jabs at nearly every mile marker on 480.

So there you go, definitely my top three favorite games I was ever able to witness. I did have a nice streak of 10 straight wins over the last four years, until the Magic ruined it in game one of the ECF (a game I considered putting on here with LeBron's career high 49 points, but I was only including wins). I did start a new streak with game five, though, so hopefully I can start another trend and have a few games crack my top 3.

I've been to 4 games and 3 were blow outs in the Cavs favor and one was a blow out in the opposing teams favor.. :(

Game 5 of the 2007 Eastern Conference finals. Yes, I am one lucky bastard.

I was a young fella, but game 7 of the 1992 semi finals against the Celtics.. Hands down the loudest basketball game I ever went to...

I also went to game 4 of the conference finals vs the Bulls... Ferry got kicked out of that game for fighting Jordan if I recall..

You mean the game where Ben Wallace blocked Shaquille O'neal? Didn't the Pistons blow out the heat that game?

1) Game 3 of the 2007 NBA Finals v. Spurs (1st ever Home Finals Game).

2) Getting to see Jordan play in the mid-90's some time for 1 or 2 games.

3) A game a few years ago that I sat on the baseline and went to this buffet type thing.

4) All the rest of the numerous games I attended at Richfield Coliseum & The Q.

2002 against the Magic, Pat Garrity lit us up. Mainly my favorite because I saw T-Mac lol. Haven't gone to many Cavs games since 2002 because of how hard it is to get them. Went to about 10 games in 2002, we lost them all.

Game four at Detroit this year. What an experience.

Game 2 against Orlando last year. The most unbelievable thing I have ever seen. People started to leave the arena, and I was like "How can you leave with time left on the clock on a playoff game and LeBron James on the court? " bit anyway, I still get chills when I watch the video of it. Man too bad we couldn't pull that series out.

4.Regular season vs lakers-Floor seats, watching braylon be dick to every kid that went up to him for autograph, wouldtnt say word to the kids, just looked at them and walked away.

3. Regular season vs Kings2007 -Floor seats, sitting next to Danny ferry for majority of game(He is one booring guy)

2. ECF 2007 game 3 vs Pistons(Lebron dunked on rasheed)

1. ECF 2009 game 2 vs Magic(The shot)

My Uncle and Grandpa were at that game, my Dad had a ticket but his car broke down :(

Anyway, the best game I have gone too is probably a loss against the Bulls last season which was Larry and Drews game back. We booed the crap out of them. I sat 4 rows from the court :king:

3. Game 6 of the 2008 2nd Round vs Boston

The place was just electric. So loud, and I had a few beers and was a little loose so I kinda made myself the focal point of my section for all the yelling and Celtic taunting I was doing. Pretty ridiculous. Plus I was with my buddy that had never been to a playoff game before. Great times.

2. Game 4 of the 2007 ECF vs Detroit

It was the height of the momentum swing back in our favor in that series, when we tied it up. We had been totally counted out. Charles Barkley said he only packed 4 suits for the series because we'd be swept. Then I got on TNT after the game holding a sign I wrote in the hallway for Charles that said "Hey Chuck, You're Gonna Need More Suits", and they saw it and all the Inside the NBA guys talked to me (well, at me... I couldn't hear them) for like 30 seconds and laughed at Charles about it. Great times. Had like 20 text messages as I was walking out from all my buddies from here and in California that saw me on TV. :chuckles:

1. Game 2 of the 2009 ECF vs Orlando - LeShot

Most of the game was a little nerve racking, but I seriously can't even put into words what it was like to be there when he hit that shot. There was just so much riding on it, and everyone really felt like we were going to be down in an impossible hole, then suddenly it just snapped a million percent in the other direction when he hit that shot. It was just sooooo loud for soooo long. Just a deafening roar for like 10 minutes that started with yelling, and just morphed into "MVP" until LeBron walked off the floor. Walking back to the car, the atmosphere was like we had just won a championship.

Great thread camakazee.

My first two were this season because I haven't lived in Cleveland for about 10 years and none of my family were basketball fans when I was growing up there.

I saw the Cavs in the Staples Center in that game against the Clippers this year. Definitely the more exciting of the two when we came back from a 20 point deficit at the beginning of the 4th quarter.

I also saw the Cavs play the Rockets at the Q around Christmas time. It was a good game (the one where Lebron blocked Yao) but it was my first time at the Q and I can honestly say it was the most pleasant experience I've had at a sporting event. What a beautiful arena.

That said, I'd probably choose the Staples Center for an event in the winter to avoid the possibility of having the train rails freeze causing it to stop and have everyone bussed back to the station. :chuckles:

A few off the top of my head without thinking about it too much in no particular order....

Game 1 vs Wizards (First playoff game in LBJ era, the whole crowd was in their seats half an hour til tip off waving the towels)

Game 5 vs Wizards (Our first year in the playoffs, series tied 2-2 and we win by 1 in overtime with LBJ's baseline layup. I remember jumping up and down and I fell into the people sitting in front of me because everyone was just shoving each other. It was probably the loudest I have ever heard it in there.)

The road game vs the Bulls this season when LBJ scored 41 points. There is nothing better than watching your team on the road. It makes you want them to win that much more because you made that long ass drive out there just to see them. We had annoying fans screaming in our ears the whole game "LeBron can't finish, hes not MJ", then LBJ lit it up in 4th to shut them up, so they resorted to "Braylon Edwards can't catch." :chuckles:

Like Mr. Glass said, Game 4 this year at Detroit was unforgettable because it was like a home game. It was hilarious hearing the Pistons get booed walking out on their homecourt while the Cavs got cheered.

I can't remember what game it was exactly, but it was in 2007 vs the Nets when Sasha blocked Jason Kidd on the break away layup LeBron style. Well, that was one of my favorite moments at the Q, not games.

The best game is an easy one for me though. Game 6 ECF vs Detroit. I think we all knew in our hearts the Spurs were going to beat us, so beating Detroit was kind of like winning it all for me. Boobie had his best game ever, it was our first time making it to the finals, seeing the team and fans so happy. It really was amazing. And then walking outside to see a ton of people celebrating in the streets. That was a great time.

"LeShot" was pretty damn cool, and I felt like passing out after it happened, but I have to admit, after 5 minutes went by I was just thinking Orlando really is better than us, we are probably going to lose this series.

The Finals were fun too, before the game. Once the game started, eh not so much. That series was over before it even started.

Damn I miss 2007 though. Best sports year for Cleveland in my lifetime. Indians made the playoffs, Cavs made the finals, Browns went 10-6 (probably the most surprising of them all:chuckles:).

Sigh.... good times. I might post some more if I think about more games that aren't coming to me now.

Edit: Cam, I was this close to leaving that Celtics game you are talking about. So glad I stayed.

I have never been to a playoff game, but I saw him score 16 in 2 minutes in Milwaukee. His 55 point game was incredible, especially because that game started out really sloppy. When he started nailing those 3's the air in the building changed.
